So got me a clone, tomorrow I'm thinking I am going to start putting stakes in place.
No I didn't leave it in the aloe I just allow it to soak for 10 minutes or so before planting

That is a slightly different way of cloning that I like the look of. Looks simple and easy KISS Keep It Simple Stupid! Allows more time admiring my plants or working on something else .

So after cutting the aloe I take and use a toothpick to break up the inside.
I get my cutting prepared by ensuring a 45° cut and I scrap the stem back about 1/4 inch. Then dip, soak and plant!
