Re: First proper photoperiod grow!! SoG
Better representation of the height, probably closer to 4ft tbh!HaydenR4238 wrote:I’ve got just under 5ft mate. Tried to select short indica dominant strains to try and save myself any issues down the line. Got netting I can put in if some plants get to tall as-well. Thanks, here’s hoping all goes to plan!Marcus wrote:How much height have you got in the cupboard Hayden?
If it were me (I'm just thinking out loud), I'd just go 12/12 lighting with that many plants in that space. They may get tall and some folks don;t like that, but that height is valuable dope growing real estate in a cramped space. I'd also top and chop each plant back to 4 or 5 opposing branches, possibly.
But yeah, good luck man. Be good to see how it all fills out. Be cool if you can get a room full of single cola plants.

Re: First proper photoperiod grow!! SoG
Just been thinking, I might take a few of these out and keep them in veg in my tent before I flip to flower so I can take clones from them and speed the cycle up further by a few weeks.
Should be able to turn out crops really fast that way, think that’s the whole point in doing SoG anyway! Got a lot to read up on from now until then if I’m going to make it happen though! Not really the faintest idea of how to go about cloning etc. But I’m Exited to learn!

To be honest the more I look at it the more I feel like yous guys are right. I’d be better growing 10! Probably work out better in the long run. Will also make watering easier! Can start the other 8 a few weeks into flower in the veg tent and get them started ready to be swapped in for the plants I harvestBulls wrote:That's going to be tight mate! 11 is a good fit. Might even take away the one in the far corner and put a scrog net in and just fill it out instead. Re: First proper photoperiod grow!! SoG
@HaydenR4238 If you get yourself some 50mm netting (or is the net you already got 50mm squares?), then plan for one cola per square, you'll then know how many branches to leave on each plant when you get snippy on them. I like to top at the 6th and take a branch, miss one, take a branch... then on the opposite side miss one, take one... etc so I'm left with 5 or 6 branches when growing different strains in a tight space.
I need to start using nets more, one of my plants is having a nice lie down this morning.
But yeah man, you'll fill that with a bit of head scratching and planning.
