The move to a purgatory zone for newbies only makes sense as it's meant to deprive spammer$ & friend$ from typical instant gratification.
On another hand this may suggest the members are gaining additional peace of mind at the cost of some duty that results for everyone: e.g. to welcome persons who are patient enough to pass said purgatory test.

Must have been there before for sure. 10 posts ain't too much anyway, while it's everything in terms of blocking those with incompatible motivations, especially mercantile "influencers" activity which seems to spread, like a virus. VCRs disapeared, faxes gradually become history, thankfully... BBSes once ruled via analog landlines, then anonymous membership changed the game. Etc., etc. Lets enjoy the hobby while it lasts. Consequently i say bravo twice, as this should help save everyone's serenity.
It was sad to witness when Cannabis dot Com started to slip under influence of WeedMaps, to finally vanish in thin air despite the most famous domain imaginable, for example... Etc.
So if a purgatory can garanty serenity in heaven then so be it! And congratulations for deciding to act against all eventual polemic - not to be expected from me, rest at peace. Besides, after so many bans i can't really afford another one!...
