First grow 2years wedding cake

Post by Wake_n_bake73 »

This is not only my first grow in 2 years but my first ever grow in coco coir.
Tent : Lighthouse xl 120 x120x200
Light :Lumatek zeus Pro 600w
Monkey nutrients used
My ladies are 8 days into flower now but I will be posting a diary to date.
I actually thought I already did this but must be going mad lol
I germinated 4 barney farm wedding cake seeds and 2 baby boom by kannabia
All were germinated in wet paper towel in a sealed bag then straight into coco coir jiffy pellets.
I soaked jiffy pellets in monkey nutrients root shoot this stuff is amazing I had roots protruding through in no time I put them in a 70/30 coco and perlite originally in 3 L pots moved to 10L pots at week 3 vegy
When I started nutrients I gave grow A+B, root shoot at week 3 I struggled with nutrient deficiency I then added calmag problem solved since then my girls have grown big and bushy I switched them to flower after 5 weeks in veg 18/6 they have now been on a 12/12 light schedule for 8 days and I trim lots of leaves that were covering bud sites I am now feeding Bloom A+B stress and I am just starting to add boost to there feed today
I will update next feed these plants are 46 days out of seed 🌱🌱ImageImageImageImageImageImage

So my beautiful ladies after now 23 days into flower and they are 49 days out of the seed they are all in flower lots of budsites 2 of them seem to be a fews days behind the rest but I am not worried about that as I will stagger crop need be when the time comes,
I am trying not to be to hung up on times the breeder states and I am running more on what the plants are telling me.
The only extra thing I have added is the pk14/15 monkey nutrients
I am feeding bloom A +B, Boost, stress and pk14/15 and I have been feeding at slightly below the recommended amounts as it's my first coco coir grow I figured I can add extra if they show they need it but I didn't want to deal with nutrient issues but it seems to have worked for me.
They are really thirsty atm although probably because I now have the light turned up to 100% and they love it trying to make them think I sent em on a vacation to a hot country in hope they will reward me with monster buds lol 🙏
The temperatures have been slightly higher around 28 but humidity has been constant at 42 which is where I want it thankfully
I have a huge radair inline extractor it's a 250 far to powerful for my tent but I have it on 40% extracting the air and it's doing a awesome job I have a 5inch black orchid mixed flow inline fan sucking cold air into the tent I seem to have found a happy medium between the two to make the environment just perfect

Some of these girls are 39 inches tall so they are loving life ImageImage

So my beautiful ladies are 46 days on 12/12 they are blowing my mind the trichomes are swelling nicely and the buds are stacking on the weight I think I have another 2/3 weeks until crop time
They smell devine but very strong thankfully I am using a huge filter so it's keeping the smell inside the tent the hot temps we have had here in the UK this weekend left me battling the heat a bit but the radair 250 mixed flo inline has really worked hard and is not having any issues with keeping the humidity down thankfully so all good thus far
I have to say these ladies have really made me proud I think I found my niche in coco coir but I truly can't fault the genetics barneys farm wedding cake is such a beautiful plant so frosty and pretty and has the potential to be real monsters I have decided when the time comes to harvest the ready buds and leave the lower bud sites a bit longer to mature
I have always cropped in one go but as the bud sites are fighting for space I figured it would be OK to crop in sittings
Thanks for reading 💚
