Second run settling in nicely. The 2 in the back were planted in new soil and 10 days before the bottom 2, so they are playing catch up at the minute. But settling in nicely in the re amended GHO soil the bottom 2 will be the second run done in the soil Image

Morning troops thought I'd give you all a little update. The soil is coming on rightly, I am watering following the 11day cycle posted earlier in this thread, only thing I am waiting on being delivered is the coconut water but hopefully should be here very soon. Apart from that I'm watering 1.5L in each 50L pot following his regime.

However going from coco to this organic living soil and being so used to watering to 20% run off i definitely pre soaked the medium too much when planting and also stupidly watered 5 days later and the little ones haven't grown in over 10 days :( I used a mix of worm castings, sphagnum peat and buckwheat hulls with no amendments. But they have stalled completely, haven't watered for past maybe 5 days and still no new growth.

I have mixed another 2 one litre pots with the same mix except this time I have added the amendments and I am going to plant another 2 in a few days and only going to add 150ml in each pot for pre soak and not gonna water again until medium is practically dry again

Any advice or reccomendations on what to do will be greatly appreciated

Have attached pictures of the living soil and also of the 3 little ones that don't look good lol ImageImageImageImageImage

That looks great! How much more do you let grow in there before you put your plants in?

Nematodes and bug garlic spray. Here is a link to both:

This has worked for me mate. I small amount is healthy, too many is not.... so if you see none or a few here and there I don't worry too much and stop any heavy watering, use a spray bottle.

Beauvaria bassiana is another option it's controlled but you might be able to get it from Europe. Alternatively bacillus thuringiensis israelensis strain but same scenario. I do know that certain brands of mosquito dunks have this in though and are available on eBay.... I'm planning on having a go with this soon to see how effective breaking some up may be.
