Cloning or "herming" autoflowers. Is it possible?
So Hello all and welcome. Hopefully I can get some insight from you all. Most of you know my situation ie. where I reside and how hard it is to get beans. I want to start off with a BIIIIIIIG thank you to Keeno and the amazing folks here at GR420 I hope to grow "Olderish" with you all as I have found a home here. That being said I want to be able to be somewhat self sufficient in the future and have some propagation questions.
1. I am pretty damned good at cloning, found that out early in my first grow and am still the proud daddy of two clones I am attempting to "nature grow" outside. My question is with and Autoflower strain can you clone? if so is there a certain time frame to make your cuts? Strain is Bog Bud Autoflower feminised.
2. I am going to attempt to Herm whichever strain I get going first but if I start with the autoflower can you use the colloidal silver technique with an autoflower to propagate more seeds?
Any help or suggestions would be awesome. I will be doing a grow log when I get going as I will be using my RDWC system I designed and built for the first time. But the knowledge on this before I start will help me make some good decisions.
Thanks all!!

Re: Cloning or "herming" autoflowers. Is it possible?
Hi mate
You can clone an auto, but not in the way you are thinking. It's like saying all mushrooms are edible, but some only once.
Don't expect a proper plant. Once an auto seed has germinated, the fuse is lit so to speak. It will have a set time to flower and then it's done. Taking a clone will not produce a fully grown plant as it is on the same fuse as the original.

for part 2 yes you can use colloidal silver to make feminized seeds from an auto

So seeds it is that means when I run super skunk I will make a mother plant. Thanks for the quick responses.

So if my research is correct the two ways I can do this is spray half the plant and let it pollinate the other half or if I run two plants spray one and use it to pollinate the other. Correct?

you could, you could literally just spray one branch up to you.

So I will run one grow of Big bud auto, then one of super skunk. then I will run one of each and spray half the plant of each and see what happens. Need one good grow under my belt before any more experimenting.

So I will be left with one auto and one normal fem different strains to run for the silver experiment. If they pollinate each other does that make a new strain?

Re: Cloning or "herming" autoflowers. Is it possible?
it will make a new strain as its 2 different parents.
Have a look on euseedfinder and look at the genetic trees of each strain you have. Might give you a idea what is mixing if they do end up pollinating each other.
https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Su ... dStockers/ Super Skunk doesnt look like its been messed around with too much so should be stable.

You won't know what seeds are what doing one plant of each and letting each one pollinate themselves and the other. Some seeds will be autos, some won't. You won't know until you grow them unless you collect the pollen and target a branch of each with a brush, then you'll know what's what.
