We can get swept away by our thoughts,,or learn to step back and see them with clarity.
Easy to forget its a choice

Re: My out door grow 2018
Spider mite damage is more peppered, plus the webbing is obvious. Thrip damage appears as small, short straight lines. It's odd for them to go for the lower leaves first though.Wizardsbrew wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:37 pmive never heard thrips ? Does the damage look like this...

No not at all , but on the corner of stalk where leaf shoot is you can see what looks like spit ,, it was just the holes in the one leaf , I was thinking I might of nipped it a bit when I topped them ,
The stuff that looks like spit may be from tree frog

I thought of just leaving them cropped over but thought it would be good to stand them up off the muddy ground

Re: My out door grow 2018
Thrips was my first thought when I saw that last one. Very similar damage is thrips and mites. You can have spider mites and not get the webbing, not sure why I know everything you red says you see webbing but ive experienced em both ways. Easy to diagnose for thrips, disturb the foliage with your hands , if thrips they will jump about, usually need a loupe to see spider mites unless you know exactly wot your looking for, or unless ya breed em the size i do lol

Re: My out door grow 2018
Yea I did not see any webbing , just what looked like spit on the stalk most likely tree frog spit , it’s rain here all day today so I’m gonna have to wait to give them a spray , and as mentioned above it will be a litre of water with one little drop of dish soap and give the leafs a light spray , show do the trick , if it don’t I’ll have to mix up a little garlic powder and ginger powder in the water spray , only so much ya can do so the bugs with out using pesticides, I’m happy I don’t have to worrie about slugs
here , I’ve lost many plants to slugs eating them in the past
