Grease Monkey F2
Grease Monkey is GG4 X Cookies and Cream by Exotic Genetix; this F2 version is also by Exotic Genetix with a 53-63 day flowering time. This is the third time I have flowered this strain but probably the first time I have grown it “properly”.
Before this run, I was disappointed with the results of pheno 4 and 6 – small popcorn/golf ball at best, no potency, and no flavor. The rat nest of buds ran straight into the lights so…I never turned the lights past 70% wattage. My bad, but I knew I would flower it again.
The second run was pheno 6 and 7. Number 7 purpled a small amount at the center. However, #7 only lasted til about day 52 and I brought her down. Root ball wasn’t there much at all. Number 6 is still going at day 57.
This run is two clones of #6 currently at day 40. Same rat nest of buds but lights are at 100%. Generally speaking, feed is neem, kelp, crab meals in water or a compost/casting extract once per week with blue-mat-tropf watering (RO) otherwise. I cease adding food/compost about halfway through for the weekly treats and revert to plain RO water.

Re: Grease Monkey F2
Day sixty, the plants are senescing well and rapidly with the left plant markedly ahead. For some time now, both plants have fallen outward in the direction of the tent side walls. Regardless, we’ll look at tricomes on day seventy and probably chop.
My opinion of the strain remains the same – it’s not my cup of tea. Disappointed to say the least as I am currently puffing some 63 day harvest. Still, I have two additional clones but don’t plan on growing this again.

Day 70 complete. Whew! Good to be onto the next plants. One more quick look at Grease Monkey and her tricomes follows.
Don't get me wrong, I will enjoy this with friends and can't wait for it to be dry. Stay lifted!

Re: Grease Monkey F2
After a week of dry time, this seventy day run yielded about 185g/321avg.W = 0.57g/W. Admittedly, this is an example of chasing the hype – the reality of the hype is mediocre weed. At the price of $150US, this pack is the most expensive I have bought to date. Exotic Genetix are good genetics, but the finished product is likened to a light version of GG4 for this strain. Don’t let the straight up motor oil scent fool you!

Re: Grease Monkey F2
Thanks for sharing this @anova.330. A lot of these hype strains seem rushed to get on the hype prices for seeds these days. Not truly tested or stable. Still a nice stick of green to keep you baked though.anova.330 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:16 pmAfter a week of dry time, this seventy day run yielded about 185g/321avg.W = 0.57g/W.
