Re: Going organic
@DIY.Rik i added abit of bokashi from gho im running 2x pots with a batmix soil, and a gho starter kit in another, I’ve also got a bottle of em1 that I add abit to the pots as I go to keep the microbial count up, I chop the leaves us as they break down so much faster that way.

Note I said attemptIMO wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 3:18 pm@DIY.Rik i added abit of bokashi from gho im running 2x pots with a batmix soil, and a gho starter kit in another, I’ve also got a bottle of em1 that I add abit to the pots as I go to keep the microbial count up, I chop the leaves us as they break down so much faster that way.

Re: Going organic
EM1 is the easiest thing to use ever just add it to water and off it goes, will be adding some work castings and or molasses in the next week or so

Re: Going organic
I’ll be following along. I can’t wait to get my own place and go to living soil. Best of luck with it!

Re: Going organic
Morning troops thought I'd give you all a little update. The soil is coming on rightly, I am watering following the 11day cycle posted earlier in this thread, only thing I am waiting on being delivered is the coconut water but hopefully should be here very soon. Apart from that I'm watering 1.5L in each 50L pot following his regime.
However going from coco to this organic living soil and being so used to watering to 20% run off i definitely pre soaked the medium too much when planting and also stupidly watered 5 days later and the little ones haven't grown in over 10 days :( I used a mix of worm castings, sphagnum peat and buckwheat hulls with no amendments. But they have stalled completely, haven't watered for past maybe 5 days and still no new growth.
I have mixed another 2 one litre pots with the same mix except this time I have added the amendments and I am going to plant another 2 in a few days and only going to add 150ml in each pot for pre soak and not gonna water again until medium is practically dry again
Any advice or reccomendations on what to do will be greatly appreciated
Have attached pictures of the living soil and also of the 3 little ones that don't look good lol
