You just mainlining or manifold

Plan was to mainline them both but I snapped a branch of one so that might become a manifold

I done my fair share of mainlining and manifolds in my time.very effective technique

Much better to do training all in one go when plants are a fair old size imo, otherwise your just pissing £ down river on leccy,

The problem I have is that once in the tent they are no longer accessible. i.e. the pots can not be removed once the plants are a certain height as I have loft joists cutting the entrance to the tent. This is why I try and train them as much as possible before they are placed into the tent and the leccy is the same as they just sit in the Auto cupboard along with my Auto's while being trained anyway.

They do need moving now as the Auto's are getting a little large and I have a Gas Boiler Service next week so will have to de-commision the Grow Cupboard for a day or two and move all plants into the tent and once in the Animal Cookies will be staying in.

they should be like 15 to 18 inches tall now Minty.

I have limited height so the plan is to keep them as low as possible until I have the Main Line structure done which is looking spot on at the minute. All eight Cola sites done on one plant which is only a couple inches higher than the pot.

although im sure you can tell its one of my pet hates.

I know mate, I do it especially to wind you up LOL. Did I mention I have a Animal Cookie Bonsai ;o)

Day 40 Update

Moved on to Main Line stage 3 for one of the two plants which is to top the four new steams down to the first node producing the final eight main branches:-

Glad I decided to keep all the fan leaves rather than stripping them as most of the guides advise you to do, because it looks better and they are all solar panels at the end of the day and the following pic would only contain 8 leaves to power 8 branches so this way makes way more sense to me personally.



Final Topping Complete:-
(learnt to leave some steam when topping and works great to stop me splitting the plants in half)
By not removing the fan leaves it also gives you a flexible tie down for the initial LST.




Height wise


The plant is currently only slightly higher than the pot which is nice as I am real paranoid about the plants out growing the tent during flowering so this gives me a real good start for the flowering phase:-



But more importantly it allows me to tie the final eight branches down to the holes drilled in the pots (forward thinking ehh):-




The 2nd Animal Cookie (who was accidentally split in half - and I appreciate that seems to be my speciality) is slowly catching up but being a little awkward as the while she does have 4 nodes already they are so close together it's impossible to top her while leaving the safety steam so she will need a couple more days before even going to stage two:-



Going to be just like the WaterMelonWeddingCakes with one plant lagging a week behind the other which actually turned out great.

I`m with you yes about leaving some fan leaves on at this stage it should help them grow a bit faster than without whilst veggng away. But you are gonna remove them at some point yes, maybe some at flip and rest that need to come off around 3 weekls ingto bloom ? Just a guide. :)

Day 43 Update

Both plants seem to be doing alright and I removed the lower leaves now for airflow etc.

Agree with @2-Scoops in that most of this Main Lining is #Faffing but I kinda like where they should potentially end up. The equal node distance makes much more sense over my previous attempt of random topping but end of the day we shall see if the final weeks makes the initial weeks of training worthwhile.

Really nice looking girls, they are alawys pretty like that but it's such a slow process that I personally don't like and think it's a lot of waste of resources (leccy, feed, time)
