Congrats on the chop mate. That's something I foudn out with leds. Top buds are very good BUT fluffier down the line. I don't think you can beat the hps for penetration.

yep, Bulls, you're right there.
i think LEDS would work much better on a scrog .
The HPS is king of penetration.

Very refreshing to here some guys actually prefer hps over led and lets face it we really know what king of lighting is for growing big fat heavy crystal laden buds guysbigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:00 amyep, Bulls, you're right there.

Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
I've grown with old purple leds, hps, cobs, quantum boards, cdms and I must say the easiest is HPS. I've been currently stuck with cdms and yes I do like them. I got 3 x 315w but in winters I replace rhe middle one with hps and...boom the mix is insane. If I could run 3 x hps in there i would and maybe if I have the chance I'd try 3 x 400w hps maybe but i Don't have the ballasts.

Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
i remember seeing an insane scrog on youtoob, where the bloke was using either 4 or 6 HPS lights set at 250 watts, nice and close to the canopy. the screen was filled to perfection and his yeild was insane. you could have stuck a level on it....i remember thinking maybe you dont need a lot of watts, but a level canopy to do really well, he was doing near 2 GPW out of it, it was very very impressive, and in coco too, must have been a ball ache watering them all, but worth it obvs
