Hey Duke mate,

Yea the 'mix' is just me having a little internal war between the mediums which started off as 'Hydro' vs 'Coco' but I snapped the roots of the original Hydro and had to 'clone/grow' her some more roots so she became the reserve and I stuck her in a Perlite mix to see how that does and I can honestly say I hate it... The shit floats, it's not great for aeration compared to the clay pebbles which I used in the main coco mix. I am trying a mix of 70% Coco 15% Perlite & 15% Clay Pebbles in my latest grow so will see how they do but personally not a fan of the perlite.

In terms of the other two i.e. Hydro vs Coco I think Hydro wins hands down (especially as she wasn't even germinated until I snapped the other one so is at least a week behind in time) for this 'One Pint' comp which could be down to having more space for roots (due to no medium) or the other benefits of hydro being the direct nutrient control etc. I personally think Hydro is better but it is definitely a more dedicated setup. Main problem for me with using Hydro is the noise the pumps etc produce but I would like to nail that at some point and try full on Hydro in my main tent again.

I have been really lucky on the insects side so far with only really seeing fungus gnats in my previous main (RDWC) grow and these were contained to the small net pot and I never even noticed they were there until it came to remove the net pot after harvest.

Thanks for stopping by buddy.

Would you say they are 'over cooked' to the stage of being worse?

Also if anyone has any clue to what the leaves of the Hydro plant are showing I would appreciate knowing what this is:-
