They'll take ages to come round, I'd say be quicker to bin them and crack on with some fresh beans.
She is growing new roots but a bit like my ex there is not enough up top to justify keeping her around ;o)

Stuck a couple more seeds in a glass of just tap water overnight and one had dropped this morning, took until just now for the other one to drop but both now in paper towels above the fridge for my 2nd Attempt at @Dex's Animal Cookies. This time I will build them a propagator ;o)

Only have one spare seed now :-(

Minty was is the logic behind seeds in glass and dropping ive just started soaking my seeds after BB did it for 10hrs
Last seed i left over night didnt sink tho............? was flooating but still germed

Hey Mate, from my experience (and remember I am still a noob) the whole seeds in a glass serves two purposes:-
  • Soften the seed shell to make it easier for the germinating plant to 'escape'
  • Confirms you have a 'viable' seed as by breaking the initial seed shell they will sink - so that you have some 'proof' the seed is at least alive.
This is off course why I do it and it works for me every time mate! (sometimes a little prod/poke to break the water film is needed) Only lost 3 seeds so far and they have all been in at least seedling (2x Animal Cookies) or plant (1x Royal Queen Seeds - Royal Dwarf) stages.

Image

My New Animal Cookies did indeed sink and as you know the proof is in the popping:-

Image

So I still have a 100% Germination rate with the glass and above the fridge - so that works for me...

Into the Root Cubes and this time NO ADDITIONAL SHIT! - Last time I think I just loved them tooo much...

Image

So this time they aint getting shit for two week but I will build them an air conditioned home:-

Fans fitted after they show more up top than the last attempt ;o)

I guess then just run with it ive had both seeds that drop to the bottom and some that float plus also just used kitchen towl and spray gun to wet them they all germed so horses for courses

I like this idea " I will build them an air conditioned home:-"

I treat my girls rough as fook then LOL Germ them then into the pot they get no faffing about make sure humidity is 70% ish light on circ fan on happy seeds ................baby OG kush is doing fine .

MrNice................. keeps it simple..............................like him self............LOL

Not taking any chances this time so built them the same setup I used for my Melons which is basically a cardboard box inside a Jiffy Bag with a PC fan on real low for some air movement:-

Image

Both are above ground with one looking fine:-

Image

The other still capped but from experience I will let that deal with itself... Not good to rip the seed casing off.

Image

Potted them both up quickly this time as both already showing a healthy tap root out of the bottom of the Jiffy Cube. Me thinks LESS WATER is BETTER when germinating.

I also went with more Clay Pebbles in the mix as I am not convinced I like Perlite so much...

Image

The original one I kept (what, I have to try and save her) is actaully coming around now:-

Image

Might save her as either a mother plant or a Bonsai ;o)
