@2-Scoops, I'm no expert mate but basically the difference is:-
* TLDR * Lumans is NOT a good measurement for horticulture
- PAR / Umol - measure light photons within the plants visible spectrum
- LUX / Lumen- measure light photons within the human visible spectrum
So if you consider the spectrum wave lengths:-

You can see that the plant can consume more light than a LUX meter will record.
Or another way of looking at it is that a LUX meter would not be measuring the additional BLUE and RED LED's fitted to the lights being produced by Invisible Sun and certain wavelengths of the 'white' diodes.
- 450nm royal blue
- 660nm Deep Red
- 730nm Far Red
Kinda related side note : Invisible Sun are now doing
UVA Strips and if you check the wave length against the above charts they would also not be measured by a LUX meter:-
The ISH UVA 8 is a 8 piece uva based pcb which consists of 385nm , 395nm and 405nm wave lengths

On another note i was always taught uva does squat, uvb between 290 &320umol increases resin production and uvc kills spores . Maybe times have moved on hey, fuck knows, but if it`s added resin production your looking for get a t-5 x 24watt x 12% to 14% uvb used last 3 weeks of bloom = added resin production. Well tis how i use a cfl uvb bulb but not a t5 just bulbs. So a t5 strip light @ 12% would contain 12% uvb (290 to 320umol) and 88% uva (320 to 400nm) basically what im getting at is led aint always best and the t5 you get best of both worlds if your in 2 minds should i shouldn`t i. Here`s what your wanting for added pZazz not bloody uva.

It`s all i use most of the time red , blue and uvb or hps + mh + uvb = big mahoosive resin drenched buds. UVA does squat or so ive always been told and this discussion i remember has been on going since Adam or at least since ive been on forums, so a good few years, i reckon iff you google uvb and cannabis plants you`ll get shit loads back saying how good it is for added resin production but then google uva and cannabis plants and look at some of results you get on other forums too, i reckon very little, i mean why would science have changed or was science backwards 10 to 15 years back were we that backwards then, me thinks not, more a cash money maker like those air domes are dude, then again i might be wrong.
