Re: Sam does Barneys Farm LSD in Coco :)
Hi Bulls,
I generally use the below molases:
https://www.healthysupplies.co.uk/black ... o_s=gplauk
The molases create enzymes within the medium that will feed the flowers on the plants, whilst blocking out any nitrogen uptake, so essentially it still feeds the flowers whilst allowing the plant to flush of excess chemicals.
I have put a link below that gives a more scientific explanation for anyone that is interested :)
http://www.npk-university.com/resources ... ASSES.html
One thing to note with coco thou, is you should only use molases for flush, or if you have nitrogen toxicity :)

Really handy info that about molasses blocking N uptake. I've been using it on most of my plants from the get go. I will now be dropping it from my veg watering routineSamwise Gamgee wrote:Hi Bulls,

Hey GMO,
With soil you can use molasses the whole grow, the main difference comes with the difference between soil nutes and hydro/coco nutes.
In hydro/Coco nutes, nitrogen is made up generally of 90% nitrogen nitrate, and 10% of nitrogen A.
In soil nutes its the other way round, 90% nitrogen A, and 10% nitrogen nitrate, molasses block nitrogen nitrate, so it doesnt cause yellowing issues in soil as you still have 90% nitrogen delivery. In coco thou thats down to 10%, so you find that using molasses will cause rapid yellowing of the plants.
You can use this to your benefit in flower thou in coco, especially if you have overloaded the plants with nitrogen, you can add molasses and it will starve them of nitrogen nitrate, whilst still feeding the plants the other nutrients it needs.
Too much nitrogen in flower will cause you plants to lock out, and it takes about 90% of the energy of the plant to process the nitrogen, so you really want to give them a very small amount of nitrogen in flower.
Hope this helps :)

Re: Sam does Barneys Farm LSD in Coco :)
Happy Friday Folks,
So my usual update, the LSD are now on proper food (ionic HW Hydro), I have added kelp and humic acid as well, this week. They look nice and healthy as they have been on canna start and rhizo since sprouting :)
I also used some bendz on them this week as they were getting a bit tall :)
So here is the LSD:
picture hosting
The Mutant is now on flush, I had to chop one cola that had been leant on the side of the tent due to some bud rot, my own fault for not turning the pots weekly, so here is the last picture of the mutant, she will be chopped this time next week :)

Have a great weekend folks :)

I used a bendz on the plant in the polytunnel. I snapped the fecking main stem. Had to sellotape it up.

Stunning as always Sam. That mutant is a monster. I'm gonna look into bends, i know muncher uses em. Lst can sometimes be a bit harsh and slow up a top or 2, this looks to be the least stressful and most efficient way to get that all important shape.

Hi mate how often do you feed the coco in your wilma system? Do have any issues with recirculating the nutrients?
