They looking top draw Minty. So iff your gonna remove any leafage get it done now.
Vegging well you`d get same result with a 5 or 6 week vegging if you topped once or twice when young and trained them a wee bit. Don`t go crazy planting seeds now is my thoughts speaking from experience here too. Pop some newer seeds when plants have 3 to 4 weeks left that`s still 5 or 6 weeks before you can get them in your room what with drying times and such like. But nah man your fucking around for nothing is my thoughts on jobby. Its your shout though at end of shift . A 6 or 7 week long vegged up plant done right with a powerful light like a 600hps and right ammount of space can give you 10 to 20oz back, no problemo. In small spaces long vegging is really not called for cus your growing 6 or 7 oz plants and that`s easily doable with a 5 to 6 veg time. That said ive got 2 cutts im growing and vegging in 1 liter pots i took at flipping time cus i was gonna mom them up but ive since decided differently now, they`ve been in their a good few weeks and need planting out but im waiting on flowering room to come available.
I run a grow here constantly myself, one crop out and one in, the plants generally only need 2,3 or 4 weeks extra vegging before flipping for a bumper crop for space size they are in i do well.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
That's the growers curse eh...having eyes and aspirations too big for your grow space. Popping a bunch of seeds and then working our where the hell to fit them all when they get mature. As a grower you tend to get a feel for your grow spaces quickly and know what each room can handle plant wise and then balance that against your goals.
I've been messing around with some mainline techniques at the moment...it appears to add extra weeks on to your veg. I'm only just playing with the whole mainline thing at the moment, but it seems to be a good option if you have a plant getting to big on you in veg and your multiple weeks out for having space in the flower tent.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Hey mate, the AutoPot Socks arrived today so they have been fitted and I removed some lower leafage while I was in there.
Doesn't actually look like anything changed from above but I certainly removed a load of lower crap that you can't really see from the tent cam images:-
Before:-
After:-
The AutoPot socks are a little concerning as they don't seem to let any water in? e.g. I placed them in the tray which was already full of water and they float, when pushed down they stay dry? I'm sure it's fine as I purchased them from the official AutoPot site but will be keeping my eye on them for sure - maybe they just need time for some capillary action etc.
I kinda do have 5 to 6 weeks left mate, as vegged plants can be moved into tent as soon as the Melons come out. I dry in a separate area (under the stairs where it stays nice and cold). So from my calculations that gives me about 6½ weeks from today before the tent will be free. To be honest I would rather keep them in veg (if needed) outside the main tent where I can spend some time training them as once in the tent they are no where near as accessible anymore. I kinda have a loft beam split the door to the tent in half so moving plants out to get access is a real pain in the arse and I snapped one of the main stems doing that tonight.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 11:15 amVegging well you`d get same result with a 5 or 6 week vegging if you topped once or twice when young and trained them a wee bit. This is my aim eventually but still have a lot of learning to do etc. I kinda want to try the same technique as I just have but with more concentration on the actual training rather than just 'lashing' them down to save height. I really want to treat each grow as a learning experience and trying something different until I can find my 'space' and what works for me.
All good at the end of the day as I don't have a shortage of seeds and even have a spare tent and light.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Hey mate, I kinda just wanna fill all the available space with weed at the min, but yes timing etc plays a big part. I think I am getting there with this side and wouldn't 'normally' have my vegging area full of flowering Tropical Auto's growing in Pint Cans - but they are for a couple of comps which are really fun and they are looking alright so I am keeping them until smoke time ;o)Cave Hill Cole wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:43 pmAs a grower you tend to get a feel for your grow spaces quickly and know what each room can handle plant wise and then balance that against your goals.
Can you link me up with some info on the 'mainline techniques' mate, I know I can Google etc but the Internet aint always correct if you know what I mean so a reliable link would be appreciated as a starting spawn ;o)Cave Hill Cole wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:43 pmI've been messing around with some mainline techniques at the moment...it appears to add extra weeks on to your veg. Thanks @Cave Hill Cole I appreciate you hanging around and especially your input mate.

Ahh, suddenly it all starts falling into place as to how these awesome growers are getting such awesome results from the same fecking seeds etc ;o)
I really like this idea and it makes total sense that it should work...
Just have to do some more reading and a little practising etc.
I love this hobby, there is so many places you can play with it ;o)

Yep. Him and Olmacca went at it for awhile I believe. I had to tap out and just left to get some food. You played well. It’s a fairly easy game if you follow a plan and don’t let your emotions or impulses guide you. Seems like you will be good at being a disciplined player.
