Your risking it a bit if you`ve got light leaks, hermies is number one risk.

Hey mate, do you know how strong the light would have to be? The tent is in a loft so hopefully dark enough to not cause any issues. The long term plan is to insulate the loft etc. so I will ensure it is light tight when doing that and see what I can 'patch' up in the mean time.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
I don`t know. Tbh mate i grow in a kitchen cupboard/pantry and i doubt that`s fully light proofed under the folding door, but it`s sheeted black behind that. But yes end of shift any light leak can be disastrous but you might get away with it. You`ll know more if they growing properly and budding up stretching like mad ens in next 2 weeks or if they`re struggling to bud up. I reckon it could prolly be strain dependent and how touchy each different plant is, basically genetics will have alot to do with it. It`s your shout at end of shift risk it for a biscuit or not ? Certainly it`s risky as to how much i just don`t know. :)Minty wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 4:12 pmHey mate, do you know how strong the light would have to be? Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Cheers Josh, I like the way that comes with a 'most likely' disclaimer - if you had said "Your be fine" I would have left it at that, but I should really check
I think it should be alright as I am judging it by the light I can see outside the tent (coming from inside) and the 'leaks' are more of a 'glow' thru the tape etc. if you know what I mean.
Hopefully be alright mate but I do need to cover the array of fecking LED's on the dehumidifier before that gets used again - should have done that sooner but it didn't really matter with the Auto I was growing as that was mostly on 24/7 lights (used to lay a block of wood over them when the light were off - but I should sort that - just really lazy sometimes, which is why I am loving these AutoPots
Quick pic of how they are looking one week after flipping to 12/12:-
They look reasonably healthy
I will get some pics from inside the tent with the flap closed and the light off over the weekend to see how bad the light leaking really is
Thanks Guys.

Does this advice still stand mate, should I be releasing them from the tie down or do you think they are fine as are?2-Scoops wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 1:04 pm@Minty they don`t and won`t need tieing down after 2 weeks on 12/12, really tis like that for a reason too, reason being they have a week left stretching and they need to grow out of their tieing back session so as to have lots of nice long big top buds, you have plenty of height now so just bare that in mind.
The way I see them is that the plants have been trained to stay low for so long they are kinda used to it now and should individually stretch up. Just trying to maximise the available space really as the lights I have run the complete length of the tent but only in the middle section so keeping it wider rather than higher makes more sense to me but I don't know so will follow your advice.
The following picture shows the back two (banks of 2) RStrips:-
With the front four being in more of a sensible arrangement:-
Following pic shows the Loft Joists and why the lights are like they are:-
As you see the coverage is pretty good front to back but not so good side to side ;o)

Yes advice stands but you missunderstanding what i`m saying, after 2 weeks on 12/12 if your thinking of tieing anything else back or down stem wise that`s taking off then don`t do it, you should be cool upto 2 weeks on 12/12, but yes you leave them tied down, basically what`s tied back leave it ted back the whole grow.
As for stripping leafage, you really don`t wanna be doing it till 3 weeks into 12/12 now for last time as well imo, why ? because you really don`t wanna slow stretch down or early budding up and knock them back a week or so @Minty .

Understood mate, and thanks for the clarification. Just wanna make sure I don't fuck anything else up ;O)2-Scoops wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 4:03 pmYes advice stands but you missunderstanding what i`m saying, after 2 weeks on 12/12 if your thinking of tieing anything else back or down stem wise that`s taking off then don`t do it, you should be cool upto 2 weeks on 12/12, but yes you leave them tied down, basically what`s tied back leave it ted back the whole grow.

So basically just leave them the fuck alone for the next week or so and enjoy the Lazy Grow ;o)

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Hey minty looking good I've been growing allot with leaks and it's not that bad unless your sat in a car groom and you can see everything... I've had leaks thro the vent that came off the veg area that caused few balls on bottom of the plant and I've had leaks thro bottom of airing cubby like a moon light and that caused few balls..
Some strains tho will refuse to flower in those conditions tho so keep that in mind but a small leak is a leak at end of the day if you could get something to like a bed sheet or black and white to help cover then its better
As for plants they still look banging and keeo doing what you and jimmi are doing

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Someone else using the airing cupboard ;o) Mine seem to love it in there (might be because the boiler is in there so may be giving off c02 or something).
I have some of that plastic that is black on one side and white on the other so will stick some of that over the area where the tent was cut etc.
Thanks @Dex
