Green Aubergine 2nd Grow - MYSTERY BLUE!

Post by greenaubergine »

I've attempted to apply what I learnt from my first grow here...

This grow was started whilst I was still waiting for some of the setup to arrive in the list this '>' means upgraded to this '>+' means added.

The seeds I planted were again 2.5 years old. They hadn't been labelled but I knew they were MOC Blueberry Domina or Blue Amnesia as they have grown I have identified them as...

1x Blue Amnesia (BA)
2x Blueberry Domina (BD)

SETUP

Tent - Self built cupboard (50x50x160) > Tent (50x100x180)
Light - 100 watt MiGro Cob LED >+ 100 watt invisible sun LED
Extractor Fan - Swift Air 5" > Black Orchid 5" Centri-Flo Thermostatic Fan
Carbon Filter - 5" Swift Air
Intake fan - >+ 5" Swift Air (swapped from outage to intake)
Nutrients - Canna A+B, Cannazyme
Medium - Tomato grow bag soil > Cocolite
Pots - 0.5l plastic > 8l fabric
Light schedule - 20/4
Training methods - 1xBA + 1xBD LST (attempt at ring/circular method), 1xBD FIM + LST, Defoliating as neccesary.
Remote Monitoring - Inkbird Temp Controller + intake fan >+ 80w tube heater (currently outside tent next to open passive intake), Camera, >+ Humidity/Temp meter.
Other bits - Large plastic bottles, syringe, cheap PH and EC meters.

Seeds were hatched using paper towel method then planted directly into 0.5l plastic pots in soil. After 2-3 weeks they were transferred into Cocolite in 8litre fabric pots. I think using the soil almost like a giant 'plug' helped the seedlings off to a good start.

A couple of weeks later the tent arrived and I started LST on two of the plants. Getting fed 2ml per litre on all nutes, 1 litre every 2-4 days.

These plants got bigger much quicker than my first grow so i messed up the watering a bit and think i slowed their growth a touch. They were very limp for a while (under watering) but bounced back after a soaking. The pots seems to take 2 litres every 2 days.

Here they are vegging out looking a bit weird from the training and watering issues

They're just coming up on flower

Seedlings have since been removed from tent and the plants spread out length wise. Will update in the future.

The seedlings are looking a bit better so have gone back in. Having some issues with the middle plant.

Bit of a photo update. Tall plant is coming on strides and the BA is looking real canna bonsai. Looking forward to trimming that one up and getting some photos of it without all the foliage. The plant I had issues with is fine now although this photo is from the start of the improvement. It had LED burn. I rolled a little of each of the dimmers and moved the lights up more. It made all the plants happier. ImageImageImageImage

After feeding the BA with plain water for 10 days it was time to harvest! I'll give it 5-6 days hanging and then get it in a jar. Pleased with the improvement in results on this one.Image

I trimmed off all the fan leaves for the photo and then trimmed it up some more before hanging.
