I see your feeding a sweet still, I found that normally made root rot worse. And out of curiosity is oxyplus a H2O2 additive? They work well to combat and especially prevent root rot

I used to hit my res with 1 or 2 ml/L of h2o2 (oxyplus) weekly at change, depending how slimy the sides of the tub felt.

Would it be worth putting some h202 or even just an air stone for some water movement in the backup water tank that I use to collect RO water prior to filling my RES? That feels a little slimy on the sides.

I would subway both, the problem with RO is also the benefit lol, it’s a blank canvas and biofilms and stuff can definitely take advantage of that.

Also this answered my question about oxyplus lol I’ve never seen it marketed like that :s I get jugs from a winery supply company my family gets a discount at lol shit turns my fingers bright white if I’m not careful

Only just started adding that yesterday because I had it and needed to bump up the ppm a little so thought I would see what it does by chucking a bit in? Science and mistakes ;o)

Day 72 update and she is still alive

Stuck the humidifier in to the tent now and it seems to be holding the humidity below 50% while increasing the temps slightly. It seems to be working by allowing the tent to go over 50 when it then turns on and decreases the humidity down to 40% and the cycle repeats.




Looking like she has a calcium deficiency, which I am guessing is because the pH has been constantly below 6.2 so planning on letting it get above 6.2 for a bit.

Day 78 update

I am still giving her about 6ml of Pythoff and 30ml of Oxy plus daily as advised and it is working to hold the root rot back and this is mostly as I am unable to fully drain the system and clean before refilling so it is what it is and I will be re-planning my setup if I do continue with RDWC which I would like to, but have other issues such as the sound of the water pumps which I can possible resolve. We shall see, I am not sold on any solution yet, nor am I am sold on staying with RDWC but it is cool and so much more maintainable - just learning so many lessons as to what can go wrong at the moment.

Roots still recovering from the Root Rot but now doing so well they flooded the grow tent by growing into the overflow ;o) bastards.

If anyone has any idea as to how much longer this plant will go?

The packet said 8 Weeks and we are now on week 11 since seed was put into jiffy cube?

most autos should be almost finished by now, but i have noticed they normally take an extra week in rdwc.

have you checked the underside of those leaves for thrips?

83 days today but that is counting from the day they were dropped into water as seeds so technically I could knock a few days off as they didn't go into jiffy cubes until day 3. She started flowering about day 55 so has been flowering for about 28 days I think (approx 4 weeks). It's definitely an Auto because it's been under 24/7 light since day 3 ;o)

just checked it for bugs and thankfully I can't see anything. Some of the leaves looks a little rough but I think that was mostly due to the root rot which I am still struggling with and the temps.

Not the best kept of plants or the nicest looking I agree but I am glad it is still alive ;o)

oh well, looks like you have another 5 weeks to go.
plenty of time to bring it round, and let it pack on some heft.
are you using pk?. if you are hit it with a quarter dose this week, half dose next week, then a quarter dose the week after. it should help them bulk out.
