Yes mate, I will get them up there soon regardless of the heat. The humidity is under control now at least so it's mostly going to be the AutoPot Res and water temps I will need to keep my eye on.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Day 42 update.
This week has been a complete nightmare in terms of the plants have still not been moved into the tent as my friend who was supposed to pick his seedlings up and help me move the pots into the loft decided to go on holiday instead. Covid Crazy I suspect but none the less I am not impressed and will be having words.
With the plants staying in the airing cupboard I decided to put them under the new Invisible Sun LED then I promptly did a 'Keeno' and dropped it onto one of the plants splitting it two, I did try patching it up with PTFE Tape but it was a pretty good clean cut so didn't really think it would work.

And if only that was the worst of it ;o) While one plant had originally always been a little yellow the others also turned yellow:-

Checking the run off shows mad results:-

And I have been flushing since until I can see the runoff a more sensible number. Not sure what happened but apparently you are supposed to wash Cocoo? I didn't /-(
Oh well another lesson - hopefully I caught this in time.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Never washed a sack of Canna coco yet i don`t where you heard that one, it comes all prepped and buffered to right ph, only thing washing it will do is throw its buffering abilities and the ph out quicker, theirs certain types of coco need a wash and buffer but no not Canna`s and generally none that are in sacks and a decent brand i`d say myself. But yes by flushing pots through constantly all your gonna do is throw ph of medium out in your pots. It certainly looks like underferting symptoms to me now, i don`t know what your feeding but i`d get plants on 1.2 ec at ph5.8 and feed that till 4 weeks into 12/12 then drop back to 1.0ec, it certainly doesnt look like theirs a call for water water water constantly.
Why is run off that high are you not feeding to at least 10% run off and slinging the run off away, theirs no way those pots should have been 3500ppm or ec 5.0+ at stage they are at, it`s pretty much impossible if feeding the ec ive been saying to use and even your not feeding to run off those ec ive said no way would build up have been 5.0+ ec, summimnk doesn`t add up right their Minty
Summink really isn`t adding up here cus that middle picture in your last set of photo`s the plant is looking really hungry to me, just look at pale white dead necrotic leaf edges. I`m fucked if i know mate. :)

Ignore the run off ph would be my advice minty just keep putting the feed in at the correct ph. Your just end up chasing your arse due to the medium being pre washed and buffered as jimmy said. I also agree with jimmy that the EC numbers just does not make sense.

Summink really isn`t adding up here cus looking over again that middle picture in your last set of photo`s the plant is looking really hungry, just look at pale white dead necrotic leaf edges, plants eating itself by looks of it, they need a ferts mate but you need to get run off right back down as low as possible so it doesnt cause lockout below 1.0ec works but lower the better cus it`s still way too high, don`t worry too much about using plain ph tap water to get it right down quickly and then you can then start feeding back your RO water and ferts straight afterwards at right ph and ec 1.2, it really needs doing cus they look underfed by lockout cus medium is oversaturated with ferts and can hold no more and while its like that it`s causing lockout of other ferts. Why its got like that well im flumaxed cus at fert ratios ive been giving you they bordering on underferting and certainly not overferting :)

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Thanks KBag, to be honest I did stick the run off back through a couple of times but didn't think it would make that much difference. I think I just miss read the plant and thought it was being overfed when it was possible being underfeed or locked out. Need to stop thinking that Coco is like soil...kbag wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 12:48 pmIgnore the run off ph would be my advice minty just keep putting the feed in at the correct ph. OK mate, one more flush of tap water should get it back below 1.0EC and from there I will start feeding them again. I got some Canna Nutrients now as I thought these might be better suited and found the following schedule:-2-Scoops wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 1:02 pmplants eating itself by looks of it, they need a ferts mate but you need to get run off right back down as low as possible so it doesnt cause lockout below 1.0ec works but lower the better cus it`s still way too high, don`t worry too much about using plain ph tap water to get it right down quickly and then you can then start feeding back your RO water and ferts straight afterwards at right ph and ec 1.2
I have a bottle of each mentioned above so would you say this a fair schedule to follow at the recommended dose or should I be lowering the amounts to say 80% or so?

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Minty ignore that schedule and follow jimmies advice mate. Its hard i know but sort of sit back let jimmy tell what they need and not need and you do the leg work. Most importantly though take notes and watch the plants and ask why they are doing this and that. I hope that makes sense it will help you to learn to read the plants rather than just numbers.

Re: Minty - AutoPot Grow - Assisted by 2-Scoops
Just give Canna AnB Ferts for coco either 0.5-0.6 young seedling for a few weeks then up it to around 0.8 for a week and then 1.0 - 1.2 ec for full weight vegging plant, up it 2,5ml per liter first 3 weeks of 12/12 before dropping back to 1.0-1.2ec
or
0.5ml a few weeks for seedlings, up it 1ml for a week then 1.5ml another week then 2ml full on veg, 2.5ml first 3 weeks before dropping back to 2.0ml rest of grow.
By the way your a bigger cowboy than "the duke" feeding old run off
, where do you think all ellements of your feed are, theirs gonna be no N left for starters at EC ive been giving ya.
