Can you relocate the chiller out of the attic somehow and get it going? In a week those things are gonna be big
With a more powerful pump I could relocated the chiller into the airing cupboard beneath the loft but this still leaves the problem of having only one chiller and two Res's. I'm hoping the AutoPot setup won't be so critical with water temps?

My initial plan is to try and cool the loft space as a whole by adding a dedicated intake fan and a detected extract fan mounted to the actual roof tile inlets before T'ing off via ducting to the tents. Not sure how well that will work but it should help.

The heat is my biggest treat at the moment.
The autopot is a recirculating dtw system correct?

Good to have you along Dex mate, these are my practise babies before being let loose on your seeds ;)

PPM bullshite is confusing mate, so now I am doing both just so I can confuse everyone ;o)

Feed tonight with 367ppm/0.726ec at 5.9 pH and will feed them again in the morning as like you say mate - the middle one 'looks' a little pale green.

Overall I think they are doing alright under that single Invisible Sun R-Strip.

No mate, it's a gravity feed system with no drain to waste or re-circulation although I did get the AirDomes to help aerate the nutrient solution. The one I purchased was this and they seemed to attract a lot of negative attention on another post, but I kinda like the look of them so will see how they do. The pots and pipes can always be repurposed to build the next 'Random Comp' that comes up (grow a plant upside down, in a 19cm tray ;o)

Looking at the size of the 'AutoPot' - Pots I could actually get away with potting them up now, while still leaving them in the airing cupboard for a few days to adjust. It looks like I can fit the 3 pots in the space of the current shelf:-

This would keep them more accessible and hopefully buy a little time in terms of heat and getting the new fans ordered and installed to control the loft temps overall.

I like it! It might be possible that you may have to top water a time or two until the roots get down deeper into the pots, but you may not have to, just watch for the plants to droop, they will let you know if they haven't found the water yet.

So when are the plans to get them in your autopot system ?
See how they go but looking at potting them up on Friday as I have a day off. Might be before then depending on how they look over the next couple of days.

The problem I have is that the AutPot Res will not have a chiller cooling it so not sure how that is going to work with the current heat in the loft. Is water temperature still a concern when growing in Coco/AutoPots?
Yes plants need dissolved oxygen to survive, i would say it`s another nutrient. Theirs quite possibly more than a few problems could arise by it. So roots uptake dissolved oxygen through drinking oxygenated water. Not only that iff theirs lack of oxygen in your water it`s gonna cause ideal conditions for water born pathogens for roots to drink from.

Ive not gotta clue what you can do really possibly add hydrogen peroxide (h202) on a daily basis at lights on and add a great big airstone. Be a shame if they fucked up when you are just gearing up to grow you some real crackers, theirs nowt down risking growing shit plants at end of shift when you could have some real bangers Minty is their. Another option would be to add a great big airstone into your other grow which int performing too good anyhow and add h202 to that daily. Problem using airstones in hot rooms is that the stone is only adding air from the hot enviroment so theirs still gonna be lesser oxygen in that air the stones creates, although yes still some or you`d be dead when you went in loft after a few minutes lol, but theirs lesser oxygen in hotter temps generally basically.

Yes i like that idea but don`t let as much run off drain away before you put them on a tray to sit until you decide what your gonna do next, you don`t need them sat in too much run off. Before planting out into pots though proper soak the pots of coco firstly when they are full of your medium with 0.8ec and then plant out into them, generally id do it other way around if i was top feeding but get that coco soaked fully firstly. Don`t forget that copper mat you put in bottom of pots to stop roots escaping mukka as well. Their should be no need for another feed for 3 to 4 days then, it will just help let roots spread. Their shouldn`t be a call for a few top feeds when they go into your system then and you`ll be able to turn it on straight away cus roots will be down their at pot bottom, where as usually you would need a feed or two through tops before you can let system run on its own, what with roots not being fullyy spread around and all that mumbo jumbo :oik!:

I run autopots m8nty and I gotta say I was worried about the temps but because it bottom fed the water temps of 28 made no major difference .. it’s a big part of why I moved from dwc

Sounds like a plan nice one. Do you still smash it with nice big yields too ? Cheers.
