Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Should I be removing the parts that look like they were hit with root rot? Or just let it sit and see how they recover as there does seem to be new white roots growing?

Minty, I believe your one plant might be suffering from rot. I'd recommend using this https://www.onestopgrowshop.co.uk/produ ... ff-1-litre
Nanook swears by it if I remember correctly. Your other plants' roots are nice and white, they look great

Thank you Josh, you know I appreciate and totally trust your advice so will be ordering some of that shortly mate and will let you know how I get on. I kinda expect this one to die now and totally understand why your original advice was to not grow different strains in hydro etc. I need to make mistakes to learn but do appreciate any help I can get along to way to hopefully learn more than one mistake per plant ;o)integrajosh wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:10 pmMinty, I believe your one plant might be suffering from rot. 35 days old today mate but it's complicated as they were stuck under a shitty light and not in hydro until day 28 so had a real slow start. I still think putting them in the tent before I was ready with the water cooler to control the water temps was the death of the EasyBud but hopefully the RoyalDwarf should survive.

Hey buddy, what scale does your ppm go by, 500 or 700? If 700 scale, you're looking pretty high as far as feed level goes. Maybe just keep an eye on it and be ready to lower the ppm's a bit if anything happens to the leavesMinty wrote:Thank you Josh, you know I appreciate and totally trust your advice so will be ordering some of that shortly mate and will let you know how I get on. Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
So about 5 weeks
as a back up mate id pop another bean or two in soil so you dont hav go street with autos the first 3 to 4 weeks are critical in my opinion for growth other wise you wont get much to sample
Heres wat happenes wen you dont pay attension to those early weeks

A shameful grow to show

I don't really know - this is the 2nd gen of the one I purchased so stats should be similar.integrajosh wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 11:21 pmHey buddy, what scale does your ppm go by, 500 or 700? To be honest mate I am now thinking something else is going on as just went up to get a couple of bottles of RO water to make some diluted PH adjustment solution rather and the RO water from the tank is 'seriously slimey' I only hand my hand in the water while filling the bottles and 10 mins later my hand is so dry to the point it feals BAD on the skin mate!>?
Washing my hands with soap has helped but that is surely not normal.
What I suspect has happened is that I ordered some 'returned' water pumps from Amazon which are sold as fuel transfer pumps and one had the smell of fuel in it but I didn't think anything about it as this is a drain pump - but obviously sits in the main fill tank.
Other than that maybe it is being caused by the RO filter? To be honest I don't know?
But I wouldn't fecking drink it.
