I think your goimg to give keeno a run for his money wow chillers to keep your water cool did know that you have to do that

Be like a five star resort for your ladies when your finished your res water does it need to be at 20c.........?
The water chiller was always on the cards because the automation kinda needs it and it just makes every thing so much easier when you can rule out any environmental variables. So a chiller and a water heater takes care of the water temp.

Ive done a legionella course at work where they talk about water temp and stuff
Makes my soil job look simple didnt realise you need all this kit to go hydro
You certainly do not need all the crap I have to do hydroponics I just treat it like a hobby and half of the fun for me is the planning and the building, etc. I want to eventually be automated so this does involve some 'more expensive' components. i.e. the pH and E.C. sensors, shields, etc are way more expensive than the pH/TDS pens from Amazon (which I also have) but being able to both see and react to the various reading 24/7 is worth the money to me especially if I can eventually get it 'dialled in' to be mostly fully automated (hence the hydro approach in the first place). Even in soil you are still dealing with water and the ability to dump the complete system down the drain and refill automatically works and I couldn't do this with soil.

i cant wait till your fully setup A/C cooling for your air and water and your controls man you dont do things by half your above next level bro
The air conditioning is on hold and if they get through the next couple of week OK I will probably not bother with it as it is too expensive and hard to get installed in the location I need it. UK weather is normally shit so just have to hang it out I reckon.

And NO, I don't do things by half mate; once I get 'one of my ideas' I just plan it out while getting stoned and that shit can be dangerous because you never stop planning.

P.S. 'legionella course' - done my head with that - no idea what that is - I'm gonna ignore that for now, pretend I don't have to worry and ask Grumpy or someone for advice if I get it ;O)

The bacterium Legionella pneumophila and related bacteria are common in natural water sources such as rivers, lakes and reservoirs, but usually in low numbers. They may also be found in purpose-built water systems such as cooling towers, evaporative condensers, hot and cold water systems and spa pools.

If conditions are favourable, the bacteria may grow increasing the risks of Legionnaires’ disease and it is therefore important to control the risks by introducing appropriate measures outlined in Legionnaires' disease - The Control of Legionella bacteria in water systems (L8)

thats why i allways run the shower on holiday for 10mis with the window open and the door shut have to do Legionella control for work

My uncle got legionella disease on holiday from the ac system or shower

Got some video footage from the 'TentCam' which is surprising good considering the cheap camera I got from china which has dual lens for better 'hardware' close ups. Seems to work pretty well for the £26.00 it cost me. Only down side is that it is online.

I hacked the root password but they have some algorithm that cycles between all the character of the all the passwords so unless I want to spend more time hacking I have to use it via the software they supply (which is pretty good to be fair and I just control when the camera has power).

In case anyone else has any idea the camera and passwords are as follows:-

PIXPLUS_AP_304A 2692B18E
Username: PixPlus | Password: 123456
Username: root | Password: money$
Username: admin| Password: #2surf

Which is cool, got the passwords via brute force hacking but the catch is they rotate every millisecond e.g. the root password would crack every time after a run but would be different like this:-

Code: Select all

money$
m$oney
mo$ney
mon$ey
mone$y
money$
So you basically can't log on manually and the protection is to basically sync on a known timestamp which to be fair I will eventually crack (by some simple software that just brute forces the known characters now and gives me a shell once they get it right) I just need time to write this and have more important things to do and privacy is not so much an issue now that I am posting on this forum.

Enough ranting but hey It's good to talk about this shit which is otherwise just ME doing it so sorry if I post too much crap.

Here is a sample from the camera:-

I would totally recommend this camera to be honest.

For the £26.00 it has a load of features such as the dual lens, pan and tilt, infra red, etc. allows you to set preset locations and zoom levels so you can press an icon and it zooms directly to the known location etc. Has a load of cloud support for sharing but ignoring that it also allows you to share to Whats App of which I have a private chat group of just me which I then download the videos directly from the PC web app version of What's App and upload to the GrowRoom420.

Pretty easy way of getting some good footage. I should order another one to get some more angles ;o) Also seems to be a good way to check on things without actually getting my arse in the loft. This is off course still required for the daily government allowance of exercise and to check the loft is not on fire!

It come with an adjustable bracket and depending on how you orientate it depends on the total coverage so this one is kinda pointing downwards and using the left and right movement for coverage as up and down is limited (here is why another one would be perfect).

You seem to be into tech stuff. I’ve been starting to think about looking for a tiny waterproof camera that could see in the dark that my misters are spraying or some sort of sensor that would alert me if they missed a cycle. You have any ideas of where I should start looking?

Sure that would be possible. The camera would probably be way to hard to dial in etc if you want alerts (which you should) so I would go with a water sensor or humidity sensors. Can you explain your setup a little more and I would love to help out mate.

Is it like this:-

Are you only after a single sensor to detect the system is running or are you looking to put a sensor on each outlet so would need support for 4 sensors?
