The statue captures Shiva performing the Tandava, a dance believed to be the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and destruction. The dance exists in five forms which shows the cosmic cycle from creation to destruction:

Srishti' - creation, evolution
'Sthiti' - preservation, support
'Samhara' - destruction, evolution
'Tirobhava' - illusion
'Anugraha' - release, emancipation, grace

if you have time give it a read

I've got mine in a contact lense case with a few grains of rice. Then I have that in a vacuum seal bag but if you don't have that, use cling film. Then shove it at the back of the freezer to avoid temp fluctuations when you get food out. I was lurking around the chilli forums and most favor that method. The general consensus seem to be it will stay viable up to a year if kept dry and in a consistently cold state. Saying that, I've not tried my pollen a second time yet. Here's the full technique I used.

1) collect the pollen in a clean, dry container. I had petri dish but anything clean and dry will do.

2) let it dry and air for about 48 hours.

3) Pop into the lens case and pop a couple of grains of rice. Silica beads work well too. Screw the lids down tight.

4) wrap and pack.
