Man just went through your thread and I am lost of words! Fair play to you that's amazing system and more amazing you're doing thar on your own. I will be following with huge interest.

Found a couple more images from my planning stage that might help visualise the space I have available and how I have used it:-

Plan of the house which is a Cluster house (imagine a square house split into 4 and I have one corner slice with the other 3 slices being mirrored). The red bar denotes the space above the stairs where the central heating system was removed from the loft:-

This was my original plan to use Gravity and flow valves to fill and empty the system which I replaced with pumps for more control via the automation side:-



Mostly just dumping the info for a later write up.

OK, so my software is nearly complete in terms of being usable at least (mobile support is going to take a little longer) so I decided to go for it.

• popped some Royal Queen Seeds in a glass of (room temp tap) water (1st May @ 1:00am)
• 7 hours later the Royal Dwarf had sank and was put into a paper towel (1st May @ 8:00am)
• 1 hour later the Easy Bud sank after a little shake of the glass and was put into a paper towel (1st May @ 9:00am)
• Both paper towels left on top of the fridge
• Had a sneaky look and slight signs of movement from just the Royal Dwarf (2nd May @ 6:00am)
• Checked again today (3rd Mat @ 6:30am) and it's looking good:-

Both stuck into jiffy cubes and into the airing cupboard under my new found germinating LED

Hey Minty,

Very cool set up buddy! I'd love to set something up like this but couldn't due to being in rented accomodation :( My plan was to build a mancave this year and start a similar project but coronavirus pissed all over my cornflakes. I'll be following this one for sure.

Thanks Grumpy, The software is coming along a bit more. It's still not working correctly on mobile but I finished the E.C. and P.H. calibration logic and have all the web controls hooked up to the actual hardware / sockets etc. Mostly just the scheduler and mobile support left to do.

Then I will do a full write up on what was involved, prices, etc.

Day four, and they seem to be getting on alright, just need to loose the top hats ;o)

Small test video upload showing the dosing pumps in action. Was trying to dose 420 but couldn't be arsed to wait for that much so frigged the software to dose 42.0 instead and the cheap Amazon Pumps I got are pretty accurate.
