Hey all!
Just an end of week update on how this is all going. I'm extremely impressed with this system and nutrient range so far!
I started to see slight Mg def and maybe a small yellowing on the new growing tips at the start of this grow. I added some CaMg what helped but things still wasn't 100%. It's hard to explain, the plants were growing fast but the leaves were showing some signs of mottling on the large leaves etc. All very discrete but noticeable to myself.
When thinking back on what I'd done, it's going to sound stupid but while mixing up the first batch of nutrients, I put silicon in before anything else. When I started adding nutrients, I saw a precipitate cloud form but thought nothing of it. The PH was reading 10 on my meter after adding the feed too! But, I decided to crack on thinking it can't be that bad. Obviously it was :) I've since emptied and refilled the system with fresh nutrients and everything turned around almost instantly. So don't be like me and if you notice a precipitate cloud form while mixing up, dump it and start again.
Anyway, since things have warmed up a bit in the UK, I've dropped the EC to 1.5 to allow for increased levels of transpiration. PH is still at 5.4 for now but I will raise it slightly over the next week or so as things transition into the vigorous part of the growth period.
The light is now 18 inches away from the canopy and is set to 100%. Today I noticed the very first sign of heat stress but it's very minor. I zapped a few leaves with the lazer thermometer and they were averaging around 28C so on the higher end of where I like things but not crazy high like I've seen with the HPS. I've managed to get the humidity up with a humidifier but the poor thing is constantly on atm to maintain 50%. It's receiving RO water though so it should survive (hopefully).

The Ferro nutrient range is awesome! I'm well impressed with the stability of it despite the run to waste variant. PH levels are pretty much static and EC is rock solid. The water usage is around 2-3ltr a day atm but I don't know how much is taken up by the plants or evaporation. I'm adding Bio Roots, Bio Crop, Humine-ex, Enzyme plus, A+B and a small amount of potassium silicate as PH up.
Hopefully these stay on the same trajectory as they are on now. They look like they about to go crazy! Looking forward to start the training process :) I've pinched out the tops so far. That did slow em down a bit but they look like they about to bolt.
