Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Are those stems getting purple on me? The interveinal chlorosis seems to have lessened, but is still there. I’ll see how it’s looking when they’re ready for the next feed and foliar spray with Epsom salt if needed. If anyone sees anything I can improve or something I should be doing differently, just let me know. Thanks in advance!

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Just curious, how come you're using RO water?

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
My tap water seems to have a higher ph than 6.0-7.0. It seems I see places where it says soil corrects the ph, but I have no clue. So, I just use RO. Ha. Should I not use RO?

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Hey Tryingtolearn,
First off, nice setup and nice plants! Looking great :) I'm a R.O user so if you have any questions, ask away. A bit of advice, I wouldn't go crazy with the spraying. If you keep having to spray them with Mg, you're covering an underlying problem.
The botanicare calmag+ sounds more like a suplimentry rather than a buffer. It has lots of extras. I'm not sure about the ratios but it has a lot of N too that could upset you nutient ratio. Can I make a suggestion you move over to Canna CaMg as this is more suited for buffering RO. If not, miz 25% tap water back into the mix to add some bicarb for buffering. It's not essential in soil as the soil acts as a buffer but trust me your plants will thank you for it. My guess is you can't get enough CaMg in because of all the extra crap in calmag+ pushing up the TDS. If that doesn't stop the early signs of Mg, check the PH of the soil with a slurry test because low PH can also affect the amount of Mg available to the plants and because RO water doesn't have any buffer, it can swing all over the place.

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Thanks! I was wondering about the nitrogen in the Botanicare CalMag+. If I have five gallon jugs should I mix 1.25 gallons of tap in there with the rest RO water? I was thinking about trying half tap and half RO, but glad I didn’t if that’s too much. Ha. I’m going to get all stocked up on new equipment and whatnot for my next grow. I won’t be starting until August-September though. I was wondering how I would go about talking with people about what to get.grumpygrower wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 9:54 pmHey Tryingtolearn,

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
No problem, 25% should be more than enough although 50% would be fine too. RO isn't essential and sometimes can have a negative effect because if the instability of RO. I use RO because my tap water is 0.7EC and it's full of calcium bicarb and it cakes everything up. If my EC from the tap was <~0.5EC I probably wouldn't bother if I was completely honest. If you have questions about anything start a new thread and someone will help you.TryingToLearn11 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 10:04 pmThanks!
