Re: Nomoli Franco's Lemon Cheese
So I've had a couple of issue's so far with the lemon cheese, I believe i may have had nitrogen toxicity due to either pH or mag deficiency. They've both had a flush and been on water for a few waterings, been alternating between feed and water and they seem much better now. Both are a week and a half into flower and just been given a feed of bloom, enzyme, stim and ignition at an ec of 1.4 at the appropriate NER with a pH of 6.5. I've taken to adjusting my pH a bit after discovering the feeds going in had a pH of 8.2. I dont know if the soil would have been able to buffer that pH but they seem alot happier now with me adjusting. This will be my last time in soil so I'm getting a bit of practice aswel.
I can't be getting them out for pics anymore so from here on out pictures will be from inside the tent. Lights off. There will be a bit more room in a week

A quick question to anyone who has grown this strain out before - how strong does this one smell in full flower? I'm only asking as I have a new filter ready to go in, the old filter is 6 months old and still working fine, so I'm putting the new one in the tent and will stick the old one on the end of the ducting so i will be both sucking and blowing

Re: Nomoli Franco's Lemon Cheese
Time for an update. I've been a bit busy over the last couple of weekends, but now all the chores are done for the few weeks and I can get this grow back on track.
Since the last update I've dropped the ignition and root stim from the feed and their now gettting the following mix -
Bloom 1.5ml/l
Enzyme 2ml/l
Calmag 1ml/l
Ph is at 6.5 and my ec pen has just died so couldn't check the ec tonight before it went into the res. But I'm guessing it will be below 1.4. My intention is to try to keep the feed low, as i believe this is why I've been getting locked out on other grows. I can see what I think is a mag deficiency so I'll be picking up some epsom on the morrow and will be applying a foliar feed. Also I'll be setting up another res with just calmag and enzyme so i can alternate between the two res and hopefully avoid overfeeding.
Their both standing at about 4 feet at the moment at the end of week two of flower.

Re: Nomoli Franco's Lemon Cheese
Well they've been stretching a fair bit and the flowerings started. And then BAM. Houston we have a problem. Been getting some advice from the chat that I've followed but I'm not sure it's sorted. Poor franco's. Any ideas anyone? This is where it usually starts going a bit pear shaped for me and I limp on until harvest time. I need a hero!

Re: Nomoli Franco's Lemon Cheese
Just a quick story ..2 yrs ago I had taken over a grow I was clueless about what had been done to the soil only it had been used for chili peppers before ,I could not amend the soil but I would add seed sprouted tea to help with whatever was in the soil. I sprouted mung bean about 1/2 cup got the tails about 1/4 of an inch blended em up in water ,no burn cuz no nutes weeks go by just never saw the rust again happy flowering good smoke. My friends suspected it might have been zinc deficiency the enzymes in the tea may have regulated the microbiome in the soil ,I'm still not sure what it was . When I run soil I always use corn tea in veg, mungbean in flower. Just a story... best wishes to your gardens

Re: Nomoli Franco's Lemon Cheese
I'm thinking it could be a phosphorus deficiency coupled with calcium? The more I read and look at the plants the more I convince myself that could be the answer, but I think more importantly autopots + soil = problems for a vast variety of reasons, I'm going to try them in coco after and if I still get problems im going into smart pots and handwatering.
But for now I really want to get this grow back on track
