Good morning mate.
Everything looks good! What is the humidity in your tent? If it's too low you might want to place a dome over your seedling..cut a bottle in half and spray water and place it over the seedling. Should pick up!

Re: Mainlining Photos & Training Autos 1000w HPS & LED
Good morning everyone!! Just giving you all a update on where I stand in the grow. Had some things take place over the past few days. I will keep this short and sweet as possible.
The Kushy Kush & Special Kush #1 have both been topped and stripped of their bearings. The mainlining process has officially started.
I have to say, chopping the top off the plant to start this really really hurt me. Just look how big the top of that kush plant was! Crazy!!

Here is the end result of the topping and stripping. The plant seems to be growing more on the 2 shoots over the last day. This was done just over 24 hours ago, the photo was taken when it happened, there is no after shot here yet.

After I started the mainlining of the 2 Kush plants I started removing some of the leaves on the King Tut autoflower. Boy of boy is that plant just pounding out the leaves as of late. I do believe we are in the stretch phase, The plant is not putting on any major height as of yet, and it will probably slow down, but leaf production has been out of this world. Every day I am having to tuck and trim.

I went a little ape shit on the Autoflower, removed more than I usually do to see if the extra airflow and areas for light will help make up with some extra bud. Not even sure if this will yield anything good or not but so far so good.

Take a look at that stock! Getting very thick!!!!!

My goal is 1 ounce. Hopefully the major defoliating never hurt me any. Only way to learn is to just do it and see.
Smoke em if ya got em!

Morning everyone!
Not much to show tonight, got the new light setup and the plants are stretching for it like no tomorrow!
Will try to get a good update over the next day or two!
Cheers!

Lots of different thoughts of if defoliation is helpful or no, so I decided to test it myself too on this grow.

Re: Mainlining Photos & Training Autos 1000w HPS & LED
Good afternoon all, man this site seems to be a very tough crowd, always the same 2 or 3 peeps, but hey, at least I get free seeds from this journal LOL!
I never did get any advise on that seedling issue I had so I just killed her off and started over.
Here is the update on last nights photoshoot...
The whole family living together...for now :)

The King Tut autoflower has been doing fantastic. I did another defoliation on her 2 days ago. The middle was covered up and couldnt see any bud sites. I ended up having to tie down one of the bud sites on the edge as it was just starting to tower over the rest of the plant. She has been tied and is already above the plant again...she wont stay still on me :)

The photo below is just before I went crazy and removed some leaves. I never did get a after show, well..that's a lie..I did but she was in need of water and was droopy so I never bothered to upload that.
Here are a few more shots of the King Tut in early flower

Below is the Gorilla Glue #4 from GG Strains I received. I wasn't sure if I wanted to perform a mainline on her where the other plants are so much further ahead, but then I went back through my photos to get dates and the plant seems to only be about 6 days behind the rest.
Last night I snipped the top and I trimmed her up really good and the mainline has finally started on the final plant, leaving us with 3 plants mainlined giving a minimum of 24 colas.

The 2 Kush plants have been doing fantastic! They are only about a week old since I stripped her of all her leaves and stems. Last night after viewing our 1st & 2nd nodes have grown nicely, and the 3rd/4th nodes are in progress. I stripped the 2 plants of the 2nd node, leaving only the 1st node and tonight I will be doing the FINAL topping on the 2 plants to the 3rd node giving me 8 colas to work with for each plant.
Below are the shots of the new node growth before and after I removed the 2nd node. Its only a photo of 1 plant because they both look the same, so you will get the idea of what I am doing

This is our Auto Speed Bud from Female Seeds/Germination Station. This plant has been doing great. Has finally started to take root. I did run out of my General Hydroponics Rapid Start 2 weeks ago and just received a fresh new bottle in the mail yesterday. So i fed the Speed Bud with some Rapid Start juice and will introduce the kush plants to some of this goodness tonight to help her along.

I have to say, I was reading about mainlinging and they say it really stresses the plant out at the beginning of growth where you are basically taking the whole plant away to nothing. This can set the plant back a couple weeks or longer...well let me show you this...

MARCH 19, 2018

5 DAYS!!! That growth is insane!! Does not appear to have been stressed or slowed down any! So that's fantastic news!!
That's all I got for now!

Well here we are back with another update.
The mainlining project has been going very well. The plants have their shape and shoots developed. They just need to grow and reach for the stars.
Not gonna get into any fancy descriptions but here are the photos of the plants we have
- King Tut Autoflower - Currently flowering week 4
- Auto Speed Bud - Early Veg
- Special Kush #1 - Mid Veg
- Kushy Kush - Mid Veg
- Gorilla Glue #4 - Mid Veg

Re: Mainlining Photos & Training Autos 1000w HPS & LED
Howdy everyone!!
Got a update on the girls!
The mainlined plants are now switched to flower as of last night. The 2 Kush plants seemed to have taken very well to the mainline, however the Gorilla Glue has almost came to a stop from all the abuse. She has not been growing much at all and she has already been in veg for almost 8 weeks now.
GG#4 has grown but the topping and removal of leaves slowed her down a lot. She has her 8 bud sites but they are not as high as the 2 kush plants. Here is to hoping the flowering stretch will give her some room to grow some decent bud. Had 2 GG4 seeds so If this dont work then I will keep the last seed for a LST or scrog.
The Auto Speed Bud from FemaleSeeds has been growing steady and is doing very well
The King Tut Autoflower is thriving and is well into flower. Image quality isnt great for a shot outside the tent but gives you an idea. She still has about 4-6 weeks to go
Here we goo with the pictures...

]

I might end up shooting myself in the foot from switching the lights to 12/12 already but we will see how it goes. The other mainline plants seem great and have a good growth to them and with the flowering stretch they should be reaching for the sky under the new 1000w light system
Cheers and smoke em if ya got em!

Re: Mainlining Photos & Training Autos 1000w HPS & LED
Yeah it's a little earlier than I wanted. Kinda have no choice to get things ready for the summer grow. My license don't allow me to grow inside and outside the same time. So I need to have these plants finished in June before my outdoor grow starts. Already losing a month and these plants been in Veg for 8 to 10 weeks now.
What I get off this 5 plant harvest should be enough to hold me over until the fall harvest. The autos will have me covered alone. I only smoke a gram a day maybe 2 on weekends.
But I do agree they are beautiful and very healthy. Maybe I will be surprised or maybe I get enough for a bong rip, time will tell.
