tbh i think theirs alot better additives you can add to your fert regime than boosts, stuff like silicon and fulvic acid if growing hydro are stuff id buy before boosts these days
Yea I kinda knew but you have to start somewhere and if the Canna Boost works I will replace it with a cheaper alternative. At the moment I am replacing wasting over £120 per week on street week with spending some cash on nutrients once every couple of months. I even started buying the Canna A+B by the large 5 litre bottles now as I will be using it and it saves some money but that Canna Boost does take the piss the amount it costs. The rest of the Canna range seems quite fairly priced.

I have Silicon and have been using that since the Hydro days when you first mentioned it and dose it at 1ml per litre at the moment.

I don't have Fulvic acid yet so will add that to the shopping list.

except my pk13/14. :)
I have this but have no idea how to use it, instructions state to use it 3 weeks prior to flush? So I have been feeding it to my One Pint Cookies as a test since they started flowering at really low dosage 0.25ml per 1.5 litres and plan to gradually increase it week by week over the period. But for this grow I was planning on following the Guidance but that seems kinda flawed to me so
:idn:

How do you use the PK13/14 mate?

I use pk13/14 for 3 weeks from start of 5 or 6 around 0.5ml a liter, tbh ive never just used AnB on its own, but i think Marcus does, but im not totally sure about that bit. Tis just ive always used pk boost with it and for what it costs a litre it goes along way @Minty

Hey bro, just wanted to say your grow is looking solid man! Keep sticking to your regime and you shouldn't have any unforeseen issues. @2-Scoops is definitely pointing you in the right direction with his advice, its spot on.

I have been growing in autopots for 2 years now and have found all the benefits you guys mention to be absolutely true. You just have to be vigilant with your maintenance and cleaning. I've flooded my tent a couple times by being lazy...its a good lesson on being on top of things. One thing I do differently, is I put foam pads under my pots, to get them off the ground, so the water doesn't get too cold. But its a concrete floor directly under, so that's why it works for me.

I'm a fan of the Canna PK13/14. I use it the same way, only for a 1 week period in the 3rd for 4th week, just wait for your flowers to get to the size of marbles, that's my rule of thumb.

Man I used to use canna boost for about 3 years...I've cut it out now. Its just way way to expensive for my budget. And I really haven't noticed any difference/lack in quality or yield. Instead I use organic teas now one a week. I add alfalfa meal to my teas as a source of natural tricantinol. My plants seem much happier and healthy and yield well accordingly. I also add some light humic and fulvics additives that I have found to be of benefit.

Looking good brother, looking forward to seeing the rest of your grow :Stoned: :drama:

Thanks buddy, first time for me in the AutoPost but I'm liking them, I have a small pool / water container in the tent so hopefully if it does flood the water will be contained. Deliberately not filling the RES now just in case ;o) My tent is in the loft so foam under the pots is not needed for me but solid advice for others for sure.

Do you use any kind of drainage clearer such as the Canna D Block? Hopefully that should help. Can I ask what 'maintenance and cleaning' you perform?

Thought I better check if there is any maintenance needed and one of the pots has roots growing into the float area so I removed those. The other pot with the larger plant doesn't show any roots so strange. Not sure how the roots got outta the pot or along the bottom Root Control Disk under the pot but it didn't seem to care about the copper:-

Guessing this is one of the down sides.

I did notice that AutoPot now do a Root Control Sock:-

So that might be the way to control them, assuming it goes outside the pot??

Yeah I do now, I use "drip clean" from house and garden. I wasn't adding it before and that was one of the reasons why my pots flooded previously. For me its an absolute must to have for autopots.

Other maintenance would be routine maintenance, such as cleaning your reservoir after every grow, taking apart the aqua control valves after a grow and giving them a really good clean. The salt tends to build up. I often keep a couple back up valves on standby, so if I have any issues I can just swap them out. I keep some of the rubber bungs on hand too, as these can come away and get lost. Same thing with extra irrigation line, if i think I have a block. I will just replace the whole section of line, its cheap and much easier than trying to blow clean it.

If you just tap top of your aquavalve guys every tiome you go in that should stop it getting stuck on i found.

Roots i like your style "get scissors out" feck knows what you`ll do when they`re massive. I much prefer use the fibreglass nft tray rootimng mat/sheeting fopr keeping roots in pots as well, roots dont tend to go grow out as frantic. Those roots will for sure be heading for valves as well. That said its not all doom n gloom cus everything will virtually stop growing after 4 weeks except for buddage it will be snails pace.

Get the grinder out ;o)

Surprised to see the roots to be honest as they have the root control discs both inside and outside the pots and like I say it's only the one pot with the issue at the min, no signs of roots from the other one. Be interesting to compare both pots once the plants come out to see what the differences are.

101 Days Old - Just starting week 3 since flip

Wow, seems pretty old for a plant now they have gone over 💯 ;o)

What is the consensus on a long veg period? Tempted to 'drop and pop' a couple of @Dex's Animal Cookies who are gonna be next just to get them ready as these ones don't seem to have minded the long veg term and certainly seems to be a viable way to keep them low.

Image

Possibly a 'tad' too low, as I have loads of height left for this grow - which is no bad thing I guess.

Image

Gotta do it... I made the mistake of getting my 'seed box' out and have so much catching up to do and not enough time. Plus I just won a new light to go with the tent I previously won so why not (apart from plant count which takes me to 7 + the branches on the window sill - if they count?? They don't have roots so technically just flowers no?).

Gonna try and germ me a couple of Dex's tomorrow ;o)

Looking good bro! I haven't run the zkittles or wedding cake before, so looking forward to seeing your results.

IMO having extra height for your plants is nothing but a good thing. Lowering a light is easy, dealing with buds too close to the lights late in flower is a mission. I've got a strain that triples in flower, which takes you off guard the first run and needs to be planned for.

Personally I love a long veged plant bro. But I run a perpetual grow setup, which allows the ability to veg longer. A big plant gives you options going into flower. You can always take growth away and train your plant for a larger yield :Stoned:
