I use an old Fuji X100 camera. I set the white balance by using the wall of the tent with the CDM on.

When the light shines on the wall it's close enough to the white point needed. So the camera can be told this is the colour of the light, get rid of the funny tinge. You can do the same with HPS.
A piece of white paper also does the trick for setting the white balance. Just point the camera at is and set the colour correction.
