Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
Hello Rik I'll tag along on this one, do like to see how you guys do organics, I would like to call myself organic but more a cheat and rely on the labelled brands. I'm a terrible slacker but an excellent tea drinker and stoner so I'm hoping that gets me a ticket in.
Putting worms in soil is something I have often wondered about as have six huge sacks of used medium in my front basement from previous grows, all the unused leaves and small twigs from harvesting all go into them as well, including having a piss here and there as can't be arsed to climb 3 floors to the loo and the used pots of soil make for excellent piss soakers lol I'm thinking that once my garden is sorted I'll use it all to fill some veg plots. I pulled a couple of huge worms out of garden recently and put them into one of the sacks as an idea to see if the worms will deal with all the dead roots and mouldy plant matter and replenish the used medium with their poo. Is this doable do you know? All the best on your grow mate and hope you get what you want.

Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
Hey dude. As no one has offered you any advice here... allow me.
When starting your seeds do you just drop them straight into a pellet? If yes, try soaking them overnight in water and then doing it, whether they've split open or not, they will germ faster. They need to absorb enough water to activate the insides so the seed thinks "oh shit, the snows melted, it's time to grow" sort of. I've not had a seed not germinate in years this way and I bypass the pellets and drop them straight in the pot. Mother nature doesn't fuck about with bits of tissue or pellets after all
Looking forward to seeing what you can do dude

I soak every feminized seed I do. Usually in water or some microbes if I have some.KD wrote: βTue Nov 23, 2021 9:18 amHey dude. As no one has offered you any advice here... allow me.

Always appreciate help or input from anyone.
Everyone is always welcome here
I wonder if I keep putting too much microbes in there.
I used to have a different method but it didnt work one time and changed it.

Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
A 75ltr pot seems massive for an indoor grow. So what with it being organic and more slow release than synthetic ferts, will this just need water only throughout the whole grow ? Cheers Rik.

I don't see the microbes helping really. In the soil itself sure, but not for germinating. Just room temp dechlorinated tap water should do the trick. Too warm and they'll turn to mush, too cold and they'll think it's winter still.

Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
I did hear that seeds have there own fungi in the actual seed that can stay dormant for a long time, which is how they germinate apparently. Its not an area I have researched or delved into as of yet though.KD wrote: βThu Nov 25, 2021 4:33 pmI dunnoI hadn't been awake long when I replied there hahaha

I used to soak in a weak kelp solution which I had rapid growth a few times doing it that way.
With organics I thought that a symbiotic relationship with microbes was a good thing from day one, in fact, in any growing it can assist in the plants early immune system development.
