Re: Old cheese auto grow
I’m sure it’ll be fine, they are probably due a fresh tank now anyway so I’ll just mix up some 1/4 strength nutes and maybe sling some calmag in, that can wait till the weekend though

No it doesn't look that bad does it. Better than some of my previous grows lol. I think one looked more like my Acia bush

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Hi @Hydro, thanks for stopping by, I had a look back through my diary and it was a week ago today the bloom nutes went in there so like you say it’s due to be emptied.
To be honest I’ve always used the canna range of nutes and supplements, a while before I stopped growing I started using vitalink a+b but kept with all the canna stuff too.
Everything has been stored in the loft for the last couple of years and it gets real hot up there mid summer.
Most of the nutes and things I’ve had to throw away so my supplies are all running low. The calmag I put in the tanks survived the loft, so far it seems ok but what the quality of it is like now I don’t know.
I pretty much knew the canna feed chart off to a tee but it occurred to me this evening that I haven’t even looked at the vitalink chart.
It calls for fulvic and silicon as well as what’s called buddy pk which is a pk boost for use all the way through flowering rather than just once near the end.
No mention of any calmag or anything on the chart but I guess they have thought of that, I guess if I was using all that then my plants wouldn’t be looking this way.
Gonna get the missing ingredients ordered up when I can afford it and start sticking to the chart a bit better.
For the meantime just gonna keep the tank fresh every week and first things first buy a bottle of the turbo+ which is there boost

Re: Old cheese auto grow
Saturday today and it’s been a little over a week since the tanks were changed last so got it done, 20ml per 10L so 15ml under the recommendation, let’s see how we get on now. 2ml per L canna boost in each tank as well, that’s all I had left, ordered the vitalink version of boost which should be here this week
Here’s a handy tip, I use a pump like the one below and it starts sucking air before the tank is empty.

If you use the bottom of a milk bottle or some other carton you can make a bell syphon which will allow you to drain much more water

It just sits nicely in the res meaning I don’t have to disturb any of the feed pumps

That’s saved me loads of trouble while using nft tanks I thought it was worth a mention, also if you have a scrog net and need to get nutrients in the back tank may I recommend a funnel on a hose

That’s enough about that, here’s the girls today

Got some nice colas coming along now

Considering the setbacks they have grown really well and buds are swelling up a treat now. Well happy with these.
Id say they are pretty much half way through flowering now
Sorry about the photo quality, it’s a dark room and even with a head torch and camera flash that’s the best I can come up with I’m afraid
Edit:
Ive just been back and looked and it’s only been 15 days since they went into flower, feels like ages ago, got a while to go yet

Re: Old cheese auto grow
You could prolly or easily drop ec to 0.8 now stretch is over and drop that bloody calmag stuff too. I really rate Vitalink ferts too. That said cheese buddage is looking all gravy from here mate.
