Re: Smashed Cake
I think I'd prefer a little more of a stem pinch. I'm waiting to move so I can set my sog net back up. I will keep that in mind.

Re: Smashed Cake
Day 35
Both phenos #1 and #2 are happy, but I will lose some top material due to light bleaching. As I continue in successive flower starts, light bleaching is almost always going to be the case. The CLW SolarSystem 550 is commercial grade, meant to be in warehouses with 12 foot high ceilings IMHO. I have been looking for the right fixture to, maybe, recover two inches in tent height.

Re: Smashed Cake
hi i had trouble with the bigger led in my drobes and bleaching ruined a lovely scrog, then my pal fitted a dimmer switch and at 3/4 power it is perfect and no bleaching maybe this could be an option? i ended up swapping back to the hps for a while as it just works, good luck

Re: Smashed Cake
I may try to run the other two pheno at a reduced wattage. Better to deal with a little loss, than underpowering the whole grow. I typically increase 10% every three days after the first week of flower (which runs at 50%).duke wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 5:23 pmhi i had trouble with the bigger led in my drobes and bleaching ruined a lovely scrog, then my pal fitted a dimmer switch and at 3/4 power it is perfect and no bleaching maybe this could be an option? i ended up swapping back to the hps for a while as it just works, good luck

Re: Smashed Cake
Day 42 (1&2)
Of the four different phenotypes, only pheno #1 will be kept for the time being. Running out of space in veg and wanting to pop additional seeds, I have culled several strains. Both phenos 1 and 2 are doing well minus the bleaching – expect to see color on #1 any day now.

Day 4 (3&4)
Not pictured are two additional phenos of smashed cake. At the advice of GMO, I was to give these plants an extra week of veg after topping #3. My patience lasted about four days. Since #4 was larger at transplant, I expected more; instead, it stalled and leaves look like the plant aint gonna make it through flower. Regardless of the outcome, I will experiment on this run with delaying light increases and capping the total to 300W…kinda.
