Just asking for mate he`s doing the clayballs at bottom and coco/clayball mixture prolly 3/1. Thanks man.Grumpy Toad wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 2:42 pmThe drain hole is 2" from the bottom. That 2" section is perlite only. The balance is filled with a 4:1 mix of perlite / vermiculite.

Weekly update - day 21 of flower
Things are doing really well. Continue to feed every other day with same nutrients at about 1 EC and 6.1 ph. Keeping temps and humidity in the sweet spot. I've been taking a few leaves every time I'm in the tent as opposed to doing a major strip at 21 days. I'm also taking a slight "hands-off" approach to these plants. Other than super cropping the Georgia Pie and Cherry Paloma I've let these do their thing. I'm using my lux meter and the Migro conversion to calculate PAR. Right now I'm averaging about 850 across the grow.

Re: Grumpy Toad rides again!
Another week gone by...Day 28 of flower.
I noticed the Frequency Shift was slightly yellow compared to the other plants. So I bumped the nutrients to her up to 1.2 EC. If this was growing by itself I probably wouldn't have noticed. It was only compared to the other plants that it looked slightly pale. Other than that I have been using the same nutrients. Lights are still at 500 watts and I calculate PAR at 850 - 900. Lights on temps are running 78F (25C) and lights off about 74F (23C). Humidity is easily in check and air circulation in and through tent is humming along nicely.
Here are a few photos:

Weekly update - Day 35 of flower
I figure these are about 1/2 way through flower. Things are stable in the lung room & tent as far as temperature & humidity are concerned. Continue feeding every other day at 1.0 EC and 6.1 ph. I cleaned up some lower stuff that was destined to be larf. I like having it open between the bucket and lower leaves so air can circulate. Starting to give off some strong aroma when I open the tent. The inline fan and carbon filter are keeping that in check otherwise.
One thing of note. My wife said our electric bill was high and I said that I expected that. She told me that there was a note saying that our usage was more than 95% of the homes in our area. I guess we know how many have indoor grows!

Cherry Paloma

Georgia Pie

Weekly update - Day 42 of flower
Things are doing well. Despite record setting high temperatures in my area the grow environment is stable. Running lights on from Midnight to Noon helps immensely. Feed is constant - every other day @ 1.0 EC and 6.1 ph. The aroma is increasing but not noticeable when things are buttoned up.

Weekly update – day 49 of flower
Feeding the same nutrients and frequency. Buds are filling in nicely now. Cherry Paloma has taken on a pinkish hue. We have had a brutal heat wave here for two weeks and it's gotten hard to keep both the house & grow cool. Two of the plants started to get some curling of fan upper leaves. I decided to lowered the wattage of the lights due to the very hot outdoor temps. Looks like things will go back to under 100F (38C) next week. I'll play it by ear to see if I raise the wattage back up.
