These autos...damn they take forever to crack or emerge from the medium. Are autos a little slow? I have no idea how old these beans are. I've had them for a few years and no telling how old they were before I got them from a friend.
The fems popped out of rock wool in 3days. It's been a week with the autos and I'm not seeing much life.

How did you germ them buddy? I’ve not really noticed autos taking longer to pop soil. Also check breederscollective Swedbank out they are very high quality seeds from respected breeders at a great price.

Did the paper towel thing till they cracked. Then right into the pot. I'm not totally sure how old these beans really are. I'll check out your suggestion. At this point I don't think they are going to emerge. Only one up out of four. Trying to be patient...not working..lol Thanks Cam

After all the planning I did to get this thing rolling I forgot one of the most important items...fresh good seed. So it's off to the www.

After reading some good things and talking to a few folks I've ordered some beans from 420fastbuds. Picked up the automatic mix 5 pack. Not real concerned with identity. I just want some good bud asap. My first seed delivery in decades. Hope they have fast shipping. Image

Two girls..One netpot

Been fairly busy the past few days. It appears my fem LA Amnesia has some funky leaf sets coming out. Not sure if it's a CalMag issue or just messed up genetics.
So, I took the Gigabud which was in promix via a rock wool cube and transplanted her into the net pot next to the LA Amnesia. If the LA doesn't come around I'll hack her. If she does flourish then so be it. I've grown two plants in one netpot before with no issues. One more plant isn't going to change things much. Just going to have to watch my screen and flip them when the time is right.

1 week veg

Time to ramp up the juice a lil.

Jumped to 710 ppm, added Silica and CalMag. Ph to 5.8. Damn that was eventful.

The fems are looking good. Notice slight discoloration in a few leaves. Faded yellowish spotty blemishes. Not bad but noticable. Calmag to the rescue. I'm not thinking they are overfed. That usually shows up in the tips right away. Let's see what CalMag can do for now

Down to my last few purchases for the grow. I am beginning to believe this will never end. The getting started expenses are high but worth it to me.
1. Large capacity humidifier.....My apt is so dry. Can't get the humidity up in the tents to a suitable level. Even with a small humidifier inside the tent it never reaches the setting I want. As is I'm am seeing 32% on average and that's not even close to what I need. Vpd is crap. Tried a little experiment and put a large pot on the stove and boiled water for a few hours. To see if that would help the tents and it did. So, hopefully this large humidifier will stabilize everything. The room is bout 200sqft and the humidifier is rated for 500 so I should see a difference.

2. 6" inline booster with speed control....buying this to maybe head off some issues in the future. As mentioned before. I am using a single 6" exhaust mounted inside my 4x8 and it vents both the 4x4 and 4x8. A duct runs from the big tent into the smaller one to exhaust heat. I plan on mounting a 6" booster to expel heat a little better. My temps have been 77-81 in there but my concern comes later when the box is full. Maybe I'm over thinking it but better to be ready.

3. Work castings....golden nectar from the gods. My foliar spray of choice.

4. Heating mats....we keep our house cold so these will come in handy. Hard to find a warm spot in this house.

5. Picked up 10 more 3gal fabric pots

6. Govee remote Temp/hygrometer for large tent.

I subbed up to follow your grow. I think it's interesting to watch someones progression growing. I know I've learned a lot from my failures and stumbles. Honestly, you are light years ahead of where I was when I began.

Thanks Grumpy, did a lot of growing indoors almost two decades ago. I'm like a deer in headlights with all this new gear available. Led was just a purple thing with little power folks were experimenting with back then. Today I can have the sun god Ra in my grow space at half the cost and no need to even think much about heat. Been reading everything and gathering tools for a while now. Basics never change but what this market has in nutrient option alone will make your head spin. Autos and fems are new to me. Never cracked one till the other day. Really excited to see how this goes. I'll make mistakes. Already have..lol. I enjoy figuring them out. Getting help from folks here is a huge asset. Thanks for stopping by Grumpy
