Oh, I really don't like anything but reg seeds. If I wanted to I just sex them on 12/12 and then flip them to veg if I wanted to let them grow. As I am only wanting small plants 12/12 really works for me. If you remember the pogk, it give me one oz of flower on 12/12. The black rose will be less, but I could have more plants if I wanted more flowers.

im am very pleased to hear that,i have lost too many friends in the last few years and even virtual ones you have spoken to for years is sad, plant look lovely what lighting are you using? i have some black rose x mmg i been meaning to sow for years but regs are a rare treat due to my tiny veg cab, good luck

This is the light I am using, was less then 50 us. My tent is 4 x 2 feet and could use a second one in it but over all very happy with it. Yeah hate to say getting older sucks. Lost so many people in my life the last 4 years.
Thanks everyone, at this point I hope I can get just a few seeds to try again with fresh seeds and see if I can save the cross or not. It's just fun growing again too.

im a recentish convert to the led boards and still learning every run, this time i graphically saw what is the main thing i have been doing wrong and its such a seemingly simple thing,i must remember there is a dimmer switch and not as i have been having light on full and just hoisting the light up,stessed seedlings grow fragile easy upset and not as productive and its all because of being so used to hps and judging by the radiant heat which is missing with the led.
also noted that there is benefit from the low wattage led esp if growing for meds i have grown the exact same genetics under 250w quantum led and under 120w and big difference is yes obvious smaller yield but on plus side the buds are a bit looser far more resinous had zero budrot and yield about a 3rd more oil. reason? lack of stress. lesson learned dimmer employed for this run!good luck buddy.

I kept my hps lights but haven't ran them in over 4 years now. I am really liking that led light. So little heat I can run it all year with out cooking my plants. The lambs bread is super dence , now I just hope I can get some seeds to see what I can do with the cross. The black roses are going very tall but they always have with low yield. Maybe one day I will do some breeding with a pure kush and make a dark purple indica dom strain.

hi bud i found with low yielders scrog method increases the potential loads and led and scrogs works best in drobes,i am debating firing up the hps for the autos as it saves having heater on as well but bloody power is killer price and unsure which would be cheapest 120w light and 90w heater or 250w hps!theory says it is still led and heater but reality?who knows.Realmed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 9:36 pmI kept my hps lights but haven't ran them in over 4 years now. At least somethings the cost is coming down. Running cost is why I went to led and lower heat. With 12/12 I am not worried about the yield, mostly testing strains and getting some seeds to keep them going. I have some really old seeds that might not even good anymore.

The male had the first flower open yesterday, I moved them out of the house to not pollinate the black roses. The black roses have stretched and are turning purple.

I had a few more male flowers open today, and got to see the polled fall on the female when I shook him. Good thing it's so late in the year and no one really grows outside around here. So at least I should have a few seeds. Cold front is coming this next week and will get to 0⁰c or colder. The male opened up just in time.
Had to dig up my super hot peppers (Promo, and Reapers ) today will bring them in, in hope to get a few to survive the winter.

The black roses are doing well, the buds might be smaller then the lambs bread but under the led light they are denser then I remember black rose being.
Figured out how to get pics to not be oh there side.

Black Rose is a very cool color and great for crossing. I wish I had it tested but I don't think it's very high in thc maybe 12% or so.
