Re: Bruce Banner 3 Feminised by Growers Choice Organic Soil
A little late to the party but I'm subbed. Cheers SF for pointing me to your grow. It's stunning mate.
How big is the bed? It would seem the logical progressive step for me but in a loft grow there are concerns about weight of the thing!
Do you find they drink less nearer the end?
I've started adding organic yucca root powder to my water and it's made a massive difference to the watering regime. Makes the water 'wetter' and it spread really evenly through the pots.
How have you found getting the watering regime dialled in with a bed that size?
Something to aspire to your set up.

Thanks for the nice words mate! Welcome to the Banner grow! Answers are.. so the beds are made out of large green veg crates we use in restaurant and I lined them with sheets of wool i haven't seen it anywhere but freestyled it and it seems to work so far but I assume the wool will decompose at some point..Tictok wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 11:43 amA little late to the party but I'm subbed. I think they are about 80 to 100l of living soil re ammendmend from last year's runs..
I definitely had to learn watering again as expected i was overwatering at the beggining and definitely less at the end usually I try to keep to about twice a week now..
I am using a wetting agent too natural soap nuts with cinnamon and other little goodies infused in it its amazing bacicly a moisturizer for soil love the wetter than water haha but I wouldn't use it every watering.. you can overdo it too..
My beds are upstairs in an old house as it's warmer in winter they will probably come into garage in the summer as the floor its not in best condition so i know where you coming from...
What are you growing atm bro and whats your style? Big upzzz

Re: Bruce Banner 3 Feminised by Growers Choice Organic Soil
Nice one man, great info, thanks. I'm running premix living soil then using topdress amends due as per a schedule from the soil company. Scaled down to use 13ltr pots (which shouldn't work!) but weekly tea and LAB seems to keep things healthy. You have to be bang on with timings and it's a little rich for some strains as I get used to the topdressing but works well.ShapingFireuk wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 3:12 pmThanks for the nice words mate! I've got Sensi Star fem and Sunshine Daydream at week 8 plus two testers from a cross I've made from a rare original NL5 and a Guerilla Fumé male. Coming up in the wings are two ChemD S1s from Humboldt CSI.
What sort of yield are you expecting? I've recently learnt to veg longer to get more root mass going.
