Yeah I starved them of water last week so I have no one to blame but myself…
It's all a learning experience mate. I just read through the whole thread again and I would say you're either making the soil too rich on top of using the RO water you are probably just upsetting the roots and causing uptake issues. You also have to watch the PH when using RO as when things get going that can move quite a bit.

If you want to keep things organic but maybe simplify things I would suggest using a Batmix of some kind and some liquid organic fertiliser. You're less relying on the bacteria and the nutrients are immediately available and you're still organic. Or maybe try the range from @GHO as that stuff seems to be working for a lot of the guys here.

Are you checking the PH of the media?
I know I see all that GHO stuff and I really get envious of you guys that live on the mainland…

I should have but never pH down my water. I know soil buffers it but it’s coming in at 8.5.
You shouldn't have to add any PH down. I read that you're using a remineralisation filter? They will push up the PH for sure. You're prolly better to not remineralise the RO and use straight RO. Maybe it's that causing the issues? You could try some iron sulphate to bring the PH down and balance things out. Or use liquid CalMag to buffer as that shouldn't affect the PH so aggressively. 8.5 is good for humans but not good for cannabis.

Get some biochar in your mix mate, it stores water like a sponge and keeps things nice for ages. I ran a test last year with chilli's in one litre pots in full sun and after the initial watering the pots with biochar were thriving at three weeks while the ones without were crispy and dead after a week.

You’re absolutely right and in this mix I do not have any bio char.

Biochar also contains Carbon so this may help with N uptake etc....?

There’s no doubt bio char would be a choice addition to this mix of mine.

Aside from veg, this is the last time I’m going to be meddling in soil for a little while. Gotta have more space. So because of that, I’ll be flowering in Hydro buckets.

Nice maybe I can learn a thing or two as Hydro I have never done.

Anytime you see these Hydro buckets on here, it’s good to take notice because they are the most simple and effective methods to grow dope. Compared to soil… I can’t even compare them that’s how easy Hydro is. I think the laziness of it all appeals to me.

Day 63
Couldn’t come any sooner… I trashed both plants. They just didn’t appeal to me in smell. Doesn’t matter, it would have been a horrible mess to trim. Looking forward to getting rid of soil and going to Hydro.

That's one way to end a diary. The Anova chop has a ring to it. Its a shame they were not to your liking.

Onwards and upwards mate.
