I use Neem Cake/Meal, works well but sometimes they become resistant, so I fermented some garlic and that Nuked the F out of the buggers2-Scoops wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 1:37 pmCould you possibly or maybe give the soil a neem/water drenching twice done 3 to 4 days apart before planting up. To wipe out the fungus gnats and larvae. Would wipe them all out for sure and its a natural organic substance if your on that route. Used like this the neem also has or takes on systemic properties so you get kind of a double protection above and below ground for a short while. Then again would it wipe out micro-life, I don`t think it would but then again I'm unsure on that bit tbh![]()

Re: Going organic
Interesting, would you mind sharing the technique for fermenting garlic please?
I have so many fungus gnats at the moment it's crazy. I introduced sciarid fly nematodes a couple of weeks ago, which seem to have done nothing (they usually work very well). As that failed I used mosquito bits a couple of days ago, but they keep on coming. I'm sucking hundreds up with my cordless vac, then a couple of hours later just as many appear. Little sh!ts!

Re: Going organic
Looking very healthy and delicious - love how all your leaves are still green. What breeder is that from? Always fancied having a go with White Widow or White Russian. The Irishman wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 5:51 pmHows it going troops been a little quiet past wee while. Re: Going organic
Thanks mate. Green House Seed Co is probably a safe bet for white widow, since they are supposedly the original breeder, although there is some debate about that. Have you found your grows improving over time the more the soil is used? I'm just finishing my third run in GHO and it's much better than the first, maybe slightly better than the second. The Irishman wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:43 amCheers mate appreciate that. Re: Going organic
Happy days on the chop. The white widow I done 2 years ago was a special plant indeed.
