That's why I said don't add any more. I would never start a grow with 5.2pH soil to start with. Are you limited to resources where you are?

@The Aspie Toker Per Logan labs lime is one of the few components that can be added in quantity even as a top dressing. But from what I’ve seen the top dressings just don’t cut it… Tilling is the better option or more effective option. If you want to see the lab reports or the recommendations you can see them at this thread: https://growroom420.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14662The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 4:00 amThat's why I said don't add any more. Adding too much of any nutrient to the soil in not a good thing, either it be N or Ca.anova.330 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 3:33 pm@The Aspie Toker Per Logan labs lime is one of the few components that can be added in quantity even as a top dressing. Plants do not need a lot of Ca to start with, so adding cupful after cupful isn't good as it will/can lockout other nutrients. Mixing it with potash (K) would be better as at least plants use a lot of K compared to Ca.
You do what you want to do, mate, and I'll keep out of it. I was only trying to help. What do I know? I've only been growing plants and veg for 50 years.

Agreed. If we take you and I out of the equation, we will have to rely on the experts… The agronomist at Logan labs. I am following his direction; thus, The large quantity of lime, a soil conditioner, needs to be added after this run.The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 5:14 pmAdding too much of any nutrient to the soil in not a good thing, either it be N or Ca.anova.330 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 3:33 pm@The Aspie Toker Per Logan labs lime is one of the few components that can be added in quantity even as a top dressing. If you think you’re frustrated, believe me, I’m frustrated too. That’s life and I’m not even 50 years old. Nobody, not even me, is questioning what you do and don’t know. I’m merely following the directions of the lab based on soil science.

Re: Skywalker OG X High MAC by Smileys Garden
Day five flower
I pulled this one down because I think it’s a herm. There are already 4 cups of lime, high calcium lime, that has been added to this pot. I will replace this with another cut, or a different seed start, but it might be a male so we’ll see.

Day 63 – Chop Day
Chop day is today at nine weeks flowering. So far, this is the only female that has made it to this point. Drying now, I’ll take a few puffs, in a week, and let you know how it ended up. Also, time to mix three cups of Ag lime to the soil to increase pH. If any of the other candidates prove to be female, I will post more pictures here.

Re: Skywalker OG X High MAC by Smileys Garden
Day 0 and Day 3
Fingers crossed for a female, either plant. Both pots have been tilled with 4 cups Ag lime to raise the low soil pH. Typically, these would have vegged for 30 days in 10 gal pots; instead, these plants were transplanted and thrown to flower the same day. They are also the last two of the Skywalker OG to flower out.
So in this tester pack I had one female, several males, and a few herms thus far…with two more to go.
Important side note…lights at 100% day 0. I'll check back in a week or two...

Re: Skywalker OG X High MAC by Smileys Garden
Well I definitely killed it, dried it, and have had about 5 joints thus far. Not bad at all.
Day 4 and Day 7 - the last two
Sorry, no pics right now. My fingers are crossed for a female or two but I'm not convinced just yet. Needa stop overwatering.
