Hi everyone,

So week 6 is just coming to an end now, the ladies are starting to look ready and packing on a little weight. This week the feed as been adjusted to 1.2E.C (H&G A+B, Ozi Tonic @ 5th strength) with a weekly microbe tea. Except for the little Roof 95, she's at 47 days, so I am currently feeding her just straight water, she should be done in about 10days. The plants are all looking generally happy and healthy and seem to have bounced back from my earlier fu$k ups.

Image

The little Afi is probably the shortest plant I have ever grown. She really has a lot of the older traits you don't see as much anymore. Extremely squat, leafy as hell. Even if she's small, I'm not looking forward to trim haha. She smells tremendous though, like creamy orange skunk with an acrid tinge. Because she's so dam hairy, I had to go to town with the trimmers to get light to the lower bud sites. I was getting a lot of trapped dead leaves (bug steak dinner) and light starved flowers. Because she's mainline and so leafy, defoliation is a must. Now I trimmed her, she's opening up. The whole plant is starting to thicken out.

Image

The sage much happier since I replaced the aqua valve. She has stayed very stunted, bud her buds are chode like, super thick like. The smell is very different...honestly she has a roast dinner smell..with a hint of lemon. She's a 10 week plant, so she's going to stay getting fed a week longer than the rest.

Image

Image

The killer queen has been supper happy and growing well. She's looking a lot like the Cindy mum. She's packed with bud sites hidden under leaves. She smells like pineapple and cheese, with a floral note. After another week I will start to remove more of the leaves, as she naturally starts to yellow more and drop them.

Image

Image

I love the Sage N Sour...shes a cool plant to grow. She's getting enormous...and has really chunky, variegated colas. The terp is so unique...sweet sour cream and off strawberry milk haha, I dig it, I can't wait to see how she burns.

I'll be back next week with an update :Stoned:

Cheers Bulls! Its always a hard choice choosing a favorite...but the Sage N Sour is a fun plant to grow, she's got cool giant colas, with swollen bracts..fan leaves bigger than your hand... and a really different terp profile. I think if I could only keep one...she'd be the keeper..good thing I kept a clone.

Absolutely man...find and keeping that elite clone is what the hunt is all about. Haha I've got my regrets though...had an MK Ultra that was tremendous and i never took a clone...hey it keeps the search alive :Stoned:

Re: TH Seeds in Da Tent

Post by Cave Hill Cole »

Greetings all, its coming to an end of week 7 in the cave. Things have been a little a bumpy this week, about a week ago I came into the tent in the middle of the flower cycle and my tent was completely black...My timers had come on, but my light wasn't working. I tried 3 different power sources that were running working fans..and nothing. I went and had a look a what new light I was going to buy, came back an hour later and tried the light again...and it worked. Awesome think's me, as I don't have any back up lights. A couple days go by and the lights working fine, then bang...same thing happens, I come in and the lights out (I also replaced the timer after the first black out). I give it 20mins, then re-plug it back in and it works again! Great that it works, but it's given me the shits, since I am week 7 of flower and I am not that happy that my 18month old HLG isn't working. I contacted HLG and with 48hrs they get back to me, and stay the lights covered by the 3yr warranty, just contact the retailer. Which I did, they are going to send me a new replacement driver for free. But it brought to my attention that only having a single running flower light gives you zero back up plan if your light stops working. Also I wasn't sure how much longer my existing light would keep working or when the new driver would arrive. So took it as an excuse to buy a new light, I grabbed the HLG 650R. Its a sweet light, it has a dimming knob function, that drops it by 60watt increments. Given the age of my plants in flower I'm only running it at 70% and its still much brighter than the 550, the spectrum is very different too, much whiter..with added far red. So now I have an extra 550 in reserve for any future issues...or a larger flower area in the space comes available in the future.

Image

Other than that things have been good with the plants. They don't seem to have been effected by the light issues. I have search for any surprise sacks. The 95 Afi and the Killer queen have both been on nothing but water this week. The Sage and the Sage and Sour are both being feed at 1.2EC same nutes as last week.

Image

The Afi is pretty much done, she's smells incredible, like sweet baby powder and citrus. I have been drought stressing her this week and shes packed on a little extra light. I went 3 days with no water, there was visual increase in the amount of resin. I don't know if this was due to the age in flower? or the stress? but she plumped up. She's this tiny little bowling ball of a buds. She's only about 1foot from the top of the hempy bucket. The hempy bucket has been really cool, once I learned to always feed to about a 3rd run-off, you can't get lazy or else they burn...which you can still se evidence of me doing hahaha She's look almost ready, another couple days and I'll give her the chop.

Image

Image

Image

The Sage is still cruising. She's a true 10week plant..and you can see it the bud structure. Still a lot of maturing to go as we come into week 8. She smells great, almost identical to the last sage I grew. I think I stunted her growth with the lack of feeding due to the aqua valve. Anyway she is looking healthy and has another 2 weeks to go.

Image

Image

The Killer Queen looks almost done, I'll probably give her another 5 days or so, she looks like she'll be done on day 56. She smells great, I get a lot of the G-13 funk, with a pineapple, cheese. I have take a few leaves off her to open the lower bud sites. The shaded buds sites on this plant still grew really healthy and full resin. Which is interesting. Because that doesn't happen on all plants. The 95 afi for instance..the shaded buds are light green and under developed larf, any way just an observation. This plant has cruised through flower once I worked out her feed. The early yellowing in the leaves never truly corrected, but the bud sites still appear resin clad. Now that she is on water, she is yellowing much faster than the other plants, but she's ready sooner than the others too.

Image

Image

The Sage and Sour has been the star of the tent. her buds are huge fox tailed bracts, with a beautiful deep colour. I mainlined her and got four huge tower like spears. She is starting to smell sweeter this week. She feels like shes going to take 10 weeks. @Chad.Westport, I think I asked you, but did yours take 10 weeks? She is really filling out, the lower leaf covered buds have put on resin and weight no issues.

Hey everyone!

So its the ends of week 8 in the cave, I harvested the little 95 Afi back on Monday. She was at day 57 and her lower canopy was crisping up quickly where she wasn't getting sufficient airflow. She was so stocky that the branches were blocking airflow. Any way she's hang drying now and smelling luscious. She was an experiment using the hempy bucket system. They totally work and are an awesome cheap alternative, but i'll keep going with my autopots for now. The use of ease and results I get are the major pros for me. You know its funny, recently I have been hearing a lot of different cannabis podcasts recommending that you don't/shouldn't use coco with autpots. I won't get out a soap box or anything, lets just say we disagree and my personal results/experiences drive my personal growing methods.
Image

So the Killer Queen was harvested today at day 57, she was getting very yellow and crispy. She smells great, the smell has changed a lot in the final weeks. She's smells like rubber bands and pineapple...with a strong adhesive smell haha, I can't wait to try her, her buds are glowing that hindu god blue colour.
Image

Here's the Sage at week 8, she still needs a good 2 weeks to extra. I switched her to straight water today. She will get nothing but water for the next 2 weeks. She smells very strong of this roast dinner smell hahah I love it, the other sage I had had the same smell. Her buds are just getting super fat and round, as appose to stacking.
Image
Image

Here is the Sage and Sour, she is still the star of the tent. Her buds are monstrous, longer than a forearm. Her buds are getting super chunky and varigated (think thats the other term for foxtailing I heard). She semlls like sweet sour cream and hash. She's been switched to straight water and has another week and half to 2 weeks to go. I'll get the loop out next week and check her trichs. She is a cool plannt to grow, has sailed through the grow, hasn't been needing or complicated.
Image
ImageImage
Image

So here is the tent now. The two spare spots in the flower hotel have now been occupied by a Headband X C99 (by Brothers Grimm) and Angelica (by Bodhi) P1 pheno that I have. The last dairy i did had an Angie, but it was the P2. The P1 that I have just added gets extremely resinous. The girl I just added is enormous (she is on the front left in the pic below), I had to trim a lot back to fit her in haha, she's an old mum that was getting woody...I couldn't bare to throw her out, so I am going to flower her out. I'll start a new dairy and these 2 two girls will be in that. I still have the Sage and Sage and Sour to harvest before this dairy is completed.

Hi everyone, week 9 has just come to a close in the grow cave. The Killer Queen was harvested on Monday, she hang drying here at the moment..which has been hard the past average humidity this week has been 86%. So the dehumidifier has been going strong. The Sage and Sour was harvest today, I was getting worried with the humidity and thinking about chopping her early, but I waited 9weeks. She a beautiful plant, her main colas are length and half of my forearm, which chunky buds of sour-creamy deliciousness. I have in the Sage to go now, she's another week away from harvest. In the place of the Sage and Sour, I have added an Apollo 11 from Brothers Grimm, this will be my first time growing her. You will see in the picture below, that my Angie clone is looking big and healthy (front row on the left), she is loving the bloom feed and light. I had to cut her right back to day and thin her out...it was looking like a bud rot super trap of leaves and branches blocking airflow to the lower canopy.

Image

Here is the Sage and Sour before harvest. She currently hang drying now.

Image

Here's a photo of the little 95 Afi I forgot to post. She came out as a tasty little portal back to the 90s for me.

Ill be back neck week with another report. :Stoned:

Hey everyone,

So week 10 has come to a close and its the final day in the cave for this grow dairy. I harvested they Sage today at approx. 72days into flower. She's the last girl to leave the nest in this grow. She cahas been on nothing but water for the last 2 weeks. She's a much smaller pheno compared to the last one I grew, but she's chunky. Her buds are super thick and dense like Christmas pine cones. She has this crazy roast dinner smell that I love. The last Sage I grew was an amazing plant, the high was super joyful and happy.

This has been a fun grow in the end. Not with out its issues but I am always stoked to get all the plants over the finish line and without any male bits. I already have already moved the next four girls in. So if you enjoyed this grow dairy, look out for the next one.
