Invisible Sun ISH265BR eclipse with UVA

Post by FX »

Okay, so I'm all excited, my new lights arrived today, so naturally, I want to show them off!!
They are ISH265BR eclispe lights with added UVA goodness, link to the product page here. I got a great price through the GR420 store
There is a sale on existing stock before they swap over to the new look heatsinks so bargains to be had!

The unit as a whole looks nice, well made and finished as I would expect from @Invisible Sun. I have an older model ISH265 (not eclipse) and I had good results with it in my last grow so I am looking forward to seeing how I do with both of them in the groom!

The hanging method has changed, the old model has two cabes and a central loop at each end for you to hang, this came with 4 rachet hangers to hang each corner individually.

I love the new dimmer control and how it can be daisy chained but unless they release a retrofit kit for that as well I can't connect it up to my existing light (not that there was a cable supplied, not that I need it, it's just odd seeing as they give you everything else. They are just RJ11 plugs anyway, I have a few of them somewhere). The dimmer unit also has 2 switches, one for the lights on off and one for the dimmer to be on or off(full power to lights), I would imagine the reason for this is the daisy chain functionality.

My only real issue with this light is that the UVA doesn't have a seperate switch and invisible sun them selves on facebook chat told me they are for the last six weeks of flower. Still this was easily fixed as you can see in the pic, I added in a Sonoff th16 and I can now control it remotely, as a bonus, the th16 also has a temp and humidity sensor that you can plug in. I just need to find some of those sticky pads to attach the sonoff to the heatsink like everything else!

I'm very happy with them over all, as you can imagine they are very bright even on the lowest setting, helpfully, they also included some sunglasses!
Also in the box was an instruction booklet, a grinder, a seed leaflet and a flyer for some growing website or other...

Finally, them light up, side by side with the older ones, eclipse is on the right

I was stupid and didn't think it through but with it wired that way, when the lights go off i lose the temp and humidity readings lol, so i had to add an old sonoff basic to control the main lights, I need to find a nicer solution though:
