Meross 4 Gang Smart Power Strip with USB

Post by wutang »

Hey All,

Just thought I'd share my recent purchase with you all, as I have a couple of lights on timer, I got myself one of these rather than individual plugs:

It's compatible with Apple Homekit, Smart things and also with Hassio Integration (although I haven't tested that yet).

Meross' app and eco system seem to be pretty straight forward. I've been using one of their humidity and temp sensors for a while which pumps data into Hassio which is cool.

Let's see power strip holds out better than my TP-Link plug which decided to randomly come on during lights off!!!

Cheers

Wu

Hey dude

Yeah I raised a ticket with their support. Not heard back from them. It was a one off that I had spotted it, but it was enough to shift my 600w hps to a manual timer that came with my recent red light I won on here.

I thought it was 13a on those strips. Woops. Let me check it out. Unless I bought the wrong damn one.

Cheers

Sorry dude I missed this reply.

Im running a 600w OMEGA digital ballast I think. The green one. I thought if I was within the power draw limits as they are rated to 13a I should be fine. Unless i fucked the calcs right up. Ive left it on a 13a mechanical timer now. I aint no lekky tho :idn:

Are you sure about the hassio integration as I couldn't fund it apart from a couple of limited custom integrations so I have avoided meross stuff for this reason and stuck with smartlife (tuya) power strips

Found these yesterday, they are cheap and include energy monitoring which is useful:

Hey dude

Via HACS theres a dude that developed Meross integration. I've got my mini meross.smart hub and hygrometer connected displaying temp and humidity stats. I've also done the same with a sonof device without flashing it. Again via HACS (alexxsonof is the guy IIRC)
