Someone willing to help a newbie? :)
Hi guys, in the last couple of months i've been trying to grow on my own around three or four times but with no success so after receiving a recommandation i'm asking here if anyone is willing to spend some time helping me finally succeed :) At first i tried outdoor with regular plastic pots, bad soil and watering that was completely wrong so no wonder it didn't went very far. Then i gathered some equipment and tried again with more decent results but in the end without success (they are on my growing diary thread). At this point i gathered everything i could afford (not the best stuff but i did what i could with my budget) that can prove useful and set it all up. My equipment is: A 60x60x140 cm tent, a TS-600 MarsHydro Led, A couple of fans for intake and circulation of air inside the tent, an inline fan that goes from the tent inside my chimney and an humidifier. The soil mixture il BioBizz LightMix and around 30/40% Perlite. For the nutes i got all the ones from BioBIzz and some ph down to fix the ph (my bottle water/tap water is around 7.30 to 7,6). I've started a new seed (Bubble Kush automatic from RoyalQueenSeeds) around 5 days ago with the paper towel method and planted it a couple of days ago. It sprouted this morning and now it appears as in the photos. Until now i just put a bottle cap with 2 small holes at the top on the seedling to get more humidity inside and pointed the fan coupled with the humidifier at the bottle hoping that it may help in keeping it cool and moist. After planting i've watered under the bottle 3-4 times with a couple of sprays at the time with an hand sprayer but nothing else. In the water i mixed the root juice, bioheaven and activera from Biobizz at the recommended quantities. I'm definitely not good at growing atm but i'm very willing to learn and i'll gladly accept and follow any advice. I'll put here some photos that i hope will help me explain the situation.

Re: Someone willing to help a newbie? :)
I`m no organic type grower, too much faffing around and bloody hard for my liking, but theirs should be no need to ph those ferts your soil should buffer it for you if it`s full of beneficial microbes and it should be innoculated with bennies cus its a decent brand. I`m sure someone will be along to help out though, good luck. :)

Hey dude. Good luck with this next round!
If u dont have an EC meter yet I would recommend getting one and a bottle of the calibration solution. Its helpful to know you arent feeding your babies water that has too much stuff dissolved in it. Sometimes pH problems are actually dissolved salt problems. Ive now addressed my water quality and things are looking up over here
Would love to see another pic in a week
Its a bit hard to see the little BB atm

Re: Someone willing to help a newbie? :)
Hello frankthirtyspears,
I'm quite experienced with the BioBizz range, so let me know if you get stuck. I find some are unnecessary and don't add anything extra. It's best to keep things as simple as possible when starting out, so I would only use Grow (or Fish Mix only during veg phase), Bloom and Alg-A-Mic. I have never needed to use Root Juice. Bio-Heaven is expensive and doesn't seem to do much. Top Max and Acti-Vera don't seem to do much either, so I stopped using them. I suggest getting your grow dialed in with the basic nutrients first and then use boosters once you've had a bit more experience/success. Remember, with BioBizz you need to add both Grow and Bloom formulas in the bloom stage - I made the mistake of only using Bloom when I first started.
I don't think you really need a cloche over seedlings unless it's very dry - 75% humidity is pretty damp already and my seedlings do fine at around 40-50%. The advice I've followed is that it's best not to, as they need to harden off and acclimatise. You only really need a cloche when rooting cuttings.
You also shouldn't need to be spraying your seedlings with water. I just germinate mine in jiffy plugs, and water with tap water that's been standing for 24 hours to off-gas the chlorine, but you may also want to try EcoThrive Neutralise, which also gets rid of chloramine. This seems quite important, as growing organically relies on microbial life, which are killed off by chlorine and chloramine.
The BioBizz feeding schedule works very well for me, but I found I had to adjust it with some types of lower quality light.
I had problems with BioBizz soil, but I know many use it successfully. I did an experiment with Tropic Batmix, BioBizz Light Mix and Canna Terra Pro Plus to see which worked best. The plants in the BioBizz soil were the worst and really unhealthy. I found Canna Terra Pro Plus works best for me, but that doesn't mean you won't have good results.
PH adjustment should not be necessary when growing in soil, as it's pretty good at buffering itself. I never do.
Your temps seem fine at 24 C and seedlings are quite delicate, so I would avoid having a fan blowing directly on them. I only use fans once the plants are big and bushy to promote good air flow and prevent mildew.
Hopefully that helps a little.

Re: Someone willing to help a newbie? :)
don't bother pHing and don't worry about EC. Youre growing in organics.
think of your soil as a battery. every time you add water to the soil the plant is taking up nutrients from your soil. You should only need to add nutrients when your soil starts to lose nutrients or it's not sufficent.
so just water lightly for now. plenty of pics and updates and we can help you along.
