Humboldt Seed Organization - Mango Sapphire

Post by seymore_budz »

Hello GR420!!

Here comes yet another grow diary from ze GrumpyGrower. This one is Mango Sapphire from HSO.

Here's the description from Leafy.
Mango Sapphire is a complex indica-dominant cross with Bubba’s Gift, OG Kush, and Afghan genetics. Dense green buds contrast beautifully with its stark white trichomes and orange pistils. Mango Sapphire is deliciously fruity in aroma and flavor, with notes of exotic fruits like coconut, mango, and citrus.
Sounds beautiful so I had to give it ago :) Now we have the generics out of the way, let's talk about the grow.

This one is going to run slightly different from my others. The plan is to grow two plabts out while my flower room runs it's course, then chop the mothers into 20 clones and run the best 16 as a sea of green in an Amazon aeroponics system. I've not decided on the flower nutrient line I will be using this time. ATM I'm trialing Ferro but that may change for this run.

For now, these will be run in bat mix using the plagron alga range with some beneficial beenies (URG) and if Keeno send's me some dynomyco, that could find a place in this growout.

I'll be germinating these in 1/2" Grodan rockwool blocks with RO water that had been buffered with CaMg and a little Nitrozyme and enzymes to keep the algae off the cubes. Algae LOVES rockwool.

I love the packaging on these seeds and I managed to get two beens out without trashing the packaging!! Yey

Anyway, let's get this party started hey.

Nice Nanook! It's actually a 20 site and I've beefed the pump up to a 500lph unit :) I just couldn't get the top plate till this weekend and haven't ever used one so that's a trial run of Blue Gelato 41. Little do they know if they root, they already dead lol because I don't have anywhere to put them.

Lol it will be too fast, I have about 13 weeks until I'll be ready for them so got to keep them back for at least 10 weeks before I chop them up.

And we're off. I put another one down because I got paranoid about one of the original ones I plantee wouldn't germinate but now all three have :) so we have three plants to grow out. The more the merrier hey.

Not much to see yet so I'll let them grow out a bit before I update again. I've popped them in some Plagron Batmix and they're on plain RO water with a little calmag to buffer and some URB beneficial bacteria and fungi.

Hey Grumpy

Quick question..... What size pots are you going to use for flowering out the clones for the SOG?

I may have a bunch of clones in a few weeks, too many for my small tent (60x60), trying to wok out how many I could get in!

Hey Tictok,

These will be going in a 16 pot Amazon hydroponics system so all the roots will be in one chamber.

If I was going to SOG in a 60x60 using pots, I'd use straight coco so I could get more from a smaller rootball and probably throw 4 plants in there. It's a small space so 4 would be considered a SOG but you could go up to 9 depending on the strain etc. What you got incoming bud?

That sounds like a plan buddy. I was thinking once to do that in my 20 aero cloner lol but I use it too often root clones. I will keep an eye on that grow for sure mate. Good luck!
