Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Sunset Sherbet and Northern Lights

Post by Tictok »

First diary, pretty much first grow apart from a bagseed grow that was done to test the environment.

As advised, this diary is as much asking for help as it is a record due to my inexperience, so please feel free to shout if I'm doing something wrong! No egos here!

It's an awkward loft grow but here are the specs:

Tent 1:
60 x 60 x 150 black orchid tent. Started life 160 in height, had to chop off 10 cm.

Invisible Sun ISH3R, the one using the R-Strips. I believe max draw is 150w. I'm currently running them at 90watts.

6 inch red scorpion filter in the tent with a 6 inch Ram fan outside the tent (it's slight overkill for the tent but I struggled with heat in the summer so needed to boost circulation), there's a couple of bends in the duct to slow air flow a little.

2 x Dutch Passion Auto Brooklyn Sunrise in 7.5ltr air pots, Clover 100% peat moss.

Small tent heater to deal with the cold nights.

Nutes will be biobizz grow and bloom, with some seaweed extract also.

Tent 2:

60 x 60 x 140 bud box light

Kingbo 300w (120 draw) blurple dual lens

Pheno Finders Sunset Sherbet photoperiod
Royal Queen Seeds Northern Lights x 2 (supposed to be one, but a seed popped by accident and I didn't have the heart to get rid so it's coming along for the ride).

Black Orchid 4inch filter connected to a black orchid 4 inch fan.

Small tent heater to deal with the cold nights.

The plan was to keep the photoperiods as mother's and then run clones in tent one. May do this or look into monster cropping instead. While they grow the autos can run in the flower tent for now.

Some pictures:

Tent 2..... Sunset and big NL are at 3 weeks, baby NL about a week.

Current considerations:
I need to turn their heaters up at night as its hitting 17c at the lowest.

The autos have a few marks on their leaves due to me folia spraying during lights on, not doing that now!

I think the autos are a little behind as I screwed up by covering them with bottles to start with and they stretched so much I had to re-bury them.

Considering topping the autos after 4th node, I've seen this work with this strain elsewhere and will help with height.

Will top the NL eventually when 4th node is more prominent.

Massive thank you to everyone on this forum that have helped so far. Should be a fun journey.

Ive moved this diary for ya bud, incomplete is usually where we pop the diaries that end up unfinished for whatever reason

Besides that, it kinda looks like youve got everything on point atm, i dont think anyone is gonna recommend staying with BioBizz nutes long. but everything else sounds like you got it pretty well in hand for this stage mate. hardest part can be waiting for something to do some times lol

Thanks GMO, appreciated.

I too have heard not so good things about biobizz (after I bought the stuff of course).

Any recommendations for other organic veg/bloom nutes gratefully received!

Many thanks all for the kind words, I'm in this hobby for the long game and it's taken an age to get this far so your comments mean a lot.

As a side note, the first run I did with bag seed, produced a measly 1/4 oz dried (don't ask!), harvested early at 8 weeks and was so 'up' I couldn't sleep on it. However a close friend who has a brain tumor, suffers frequently from 'brain fog' loves it and claims its the best thing his ever smoked medicinally and that he doesn't need to drink gallons of coffee to feel normal anymore. So I've given the lot to him, for free of course. Got to love this plant.
