First proper photoperiod grow!! SoG

Trying something completely new this time around after some bad luck over the last 6 months. Grown photoperiod plants once before but the didn’t turn out to great. Auto flowers have been letting me down recently so now is as good a time as any to give it another go.

Will be growing the following strains:

8x White Widow (Seedsman)
5x Northern Lights (Nirvana)
5x Black Sugar (Seedsman)

I may swap 2 of the White Widow for something else, it depends what my freebies are lol

Growing in 1gal fabric pots (BioBizz light mix) under a SF1000 and Viperspectra 300 for Veg and a 400w HPS for Flower. Will be using Plant magic Oldtimer Grow/Bloom.

Will be flipping to flower after 3-4 weeks depending on size and cutting away some side branching if needed so I’m left with 1 main cola each plant.

Probably averaging about 4-5oz per grow so far under each light alone, hoping to blow that out the water this time by utilising my space better and using both lights together.

Exited for this! Hopefully I breeze through this one with no unexpected set backs!

Oh those strains are amazing! I’m in for this grow and I love those pots I have the 1 gallon ones.

Ramming them in there tightly, I like it. Be careful not to veg them too long if you’re going to keep all eighteen in there. White Widow and Northern Lights were great smokes back in the day. Best of luck!

Yeah keeping the veg time short as possible! Probably have to do a fair bit of trimming to keep them uniform, just aiming for 1 branch really with minimal if any side branching. Figured as long as each plant produces 7g+ will be worth it rather than doing 2 months of Veg!

My very first attempt was white widow, messed up all 3 seeds during germination though and ended up with 1 Northern lights in the end. Was the very first plant I harvested! Looking forward to seeing what I can do with them now that I’ve got a better understanding of growing!

How much height have you got in the cupboard Hayden?

If it were me (I'm just thinking out loud), I'd just go 12/12 lighting with that many plants in that space. They may get tall and some folks don;t like that, but that height is valuable dope growing real estate in a cramped space. I'd also top and chop each plant back to 4 or 5 opposing branches, possibly.

But yeah, good luck man. Be good to see how it all fills out. Be cool if you can get a room full of single cola plants.

I’ve got just under 5ft mate. Tried to select short indica dominant strains to try and save myself any issues down the line. Got netting I can put in if some plants get to tall as-well. Thanks, here’s hoping all goes to plan!
