Most Efficient LED Grow Light On The Market? - Invisible Sun Featuring Critical

I've been itching to get this diary started and I'm finally able to. Invisible Sun have very kindly entrusted me with test grow out of what could be the most efficient Led grow light on the market.

The light us based around the current F-Bar system but on steroids. The light on paper should compete with the current range of lights from Invisible Sun and other companies based on a 1.2 x 1.2 grow area needed 480w of LED, the 480w of LED competing with 600w of HID for the same area. The difference with this new prototype light is that is should compete with both of the above lights but running at only 300w. That's a crazy saving on power for the area and on paper it will do exactly that.

The way it achieves this is running as efficient as possible while producing as much use able light as possible from the wattage. Using more LED's while using less power is how it will pull this off. It dies so using the below:

The light consists of 4 bars, 300 Watts total, 75w per bar. Each bar has - 960 Samsung lm301h, and 16 Samsung LH351H per bar. That's a total of 976 LED running on just 75w per bar or in total 3904 led running on just 300w.

Seems crazy eh, but I've seen what a 480w strip style light from Invisible Sun will do in a 1.2 x 1.2m area, it destroyed my old faithful 600w HPS twice in side by side grows using the same strain in each grow. So when Invisible Sun asked if I wanted to test a 300w light in the same area I jumped at the chance.

To do this properly I will run from clone. Using a strain I've grown under both LED and HPS recently.

The Strain - Critical By Dinafem

I grew this on my last grow and while they were all perfect and the same stable quality you would expect from Dinafem, there was 1plant thst really stood out. I got clines off of her and they will feature in this grow diary.

A few pics of the last grow, these buds were grown under 480w Invisible Sun prototype F-Bar lights. These were by far the most frosty and terpine rich buds i have grown in a long time. I knew sat there chopping this that is was a real keeper and that has been confirmed after a cure.

My loft build will be done this week. At the moment ive got the clones in a cupboard under ISH 75v, ill be adding another ISH 100 BR to this later today. In here are my mother plants and the critical.

Nutrients And Medium

For this run ill be sticking with my tried and tested back to basics approach.

Canna coco professional
Canna coco a and b
Dynomyco
Canna PK 13/14
Vitalink Buddy or Rock resinator
Essentials PH pen.

Kit

Invisible Sun Prototype bar system
150mm Systemair rvk extraction
150mm x 600mm Rhino pro carbon filter
Loft built room.
Rhizo drain system
Custom drip feed system
2 x 18 inch ram louvre fans
16l fabric pots

Aim for this grow

To test this light and see if it can truly keep up with its 480w counterpart in the Invisible sun range and also if it can keep up with 600w HID. This is a bold claim from a 300w light but on paper it does the job and more. Ill be running this side by side with its 480w counterpart and HPS next run. Invisible Sun LED have the light test results, this will of course be a bro science test but my goal is to prove this light can compete with the above 2 lights and produce 15-20oz of dried harvested bud from a 1.2m x 1.2m grow area. I can comfortably hit these numbers with a decent strain with the 480w and 600w, if not more. So for this to compete it will need to be a 1.4 to 1.8 gpw grow from the light and area. 15-20oz of bud is a good average i believe from 4 plants in coco for most growers in a 1.2 x 1.2 grow area.

No pressure then

Massive thank you to @Invisible Sun for the opportunity to grow with this beast.

Feels like its been a lifetime since i had flowering plants .

On paper they should easily do 2gpw, im being conservative in my aims atm. This strain with the right lights can do over 25oz in that area. Time of year and environment dependent of course. Ill definitely be going for it :ak:

Glad to have you along for the ride brother

These going to be in the price range of the Chilled Commercial Grade lights? Seemed you had to be running quite a few lights in a commercial facility for that initial cost to end up being worth it. When you get them for free it’s no worry though. Be cool to see companies bring costs down on lights now that we’re seeing what works instead of trying to sell more things to hobby/home growers that are only real cost efficient for commercial growers.

Be interesting to see how they perform in that space. Yes the real time data and ppfd info says its possible, my concern is penetration but we will soon see.

6- 12 inches max height remember but I'd go as close as possible in flower
