yeah, its mainly from crustaceans but also is what makes up the body of most insects and spiders exoskeleton. it was just an idea that the plant may have been shedding in response to a false infestation alert. but just an idea :D

I like your thinking but I think it's more a slacker alert :) Got complacent with watching the media.
Here's an interesting paper on using kelp and chitosan to reduce Fusarium head blight and mycotoxin contamination in wheat.

Re: Dutch Passion GlueBerryOG & Powerplant Organic
Hey GR420,
Here's my weekly update. I've had a little problem this week. I've always been concious of the issue but gambled and lost. I got a little bit of heat stress on one of the buds in the middle. Nothing major but enough to piss it off. I've had to cable tie the lamp to the top of the tent. It's not ideal but there's not much more I can do. I would like the light a little closer but it will be fine I'm sure.
The buds are filling up nicely and are caked in sugar. Smelling great too! Nutrients are the same as usual. I gave them a flush as I noticed the very slightest of tip burn on a couple of leaves about 4 days ago. It's not progressed since the flush.

Re: Dutch Passion GlueBerryOG & Powerplant Organic
Sorry I let this one slip guys. I pulled her down yesterday so I'll update you all on the dry weight in about 3 weeks.
Grow went OK, moved.over to the 10k finishing bulb around thr end of thr 6th week this time and gave them 2 weeks of plain, buffered RO water. The threw out a couple of bananas in the last week so I'll probably not flush so aggressively next time. Smells and looks great. No seeds as far as I can tell, just the odd nana on a couple of the tops on one plant.
I'll try to keep future diaries more up to date. Sometimes life gets j the way of things hey?

Re: Dutch Passion GlueBerryOG & Powerplant Organic
Thanks GMO, yes there will be plenty more diaries to come :)
Thanks Kbag, it's not that bad of a haul indeed. I let it go a bit longer too this time and it looks like it payed off. I think it will be slightly under par due to the heat stress caused by the light being too low but it seemed to recovered nicely.
I like the GBOG, it kind of changes as you cure it but it's a solid plant. Not massive heads but dense and covered in frost. Very potent skunky kush smell while growing but thr skunk overpowers the kush while growing. After it's been jared for 3 weeks, you can 100% taste the glue but as it matures that seems to take a back seat to a lovely kush taste and what I call a "double hitter" as when I used to smoke weed like that I always had to take another toke before I finished inhaling :) The stone is what puts me off it if I'm honest. It's a very heavy, couch locking buzz. I end up in a comfortable bubble and end up doing fuck all. Honestly, I could spend 24 hours in my pit watching youtube smoking this shit. Trouble is it makes me lazy lol. I'd also say it would be a good one to treat insomnia, maybe people struggling to eat and pain relief. I may do another batch one day but right now I need a nice day time energizing smoke so I don't end up Ian Beele when he went homeless.

That Biosys tea is great stuff. I use it too and I can tell a huge difference in the health of my plants after using it.Which light did you get?

Re: Dutch Passion GlueBerryOG & Powerplant Organic
Cheers DIY.Rik, I've still got some of this mate. Beautiful smoke now it's been cured for several months. I got myself a Lumatek Attis 300w LED in the end. I've run a flower cycle on it and it turned out great. I've moved onto hydroponics now and I'm currently running the LED for that grow too.
